I don't think you need to take EVERYTHING at face value especially on a forum. What you do need to take into consideration is the relative difference between the ability to obtain either item which is vastly different. One a farmable piece which can be done easily by a group of 6 every two hours that is 100% drop versus a piece which drops once or twice a year if lucky to a LS of about 24+ needed to farm a single zone which can only be done at max every 3 days by that same group with a drop rate of roughly 3-5% tops (varies a lot based on moon, TH and mobs killed) plus they won't always be doing Xarcabard because of the demand for other zones. Again, you're looking at a huge difference.

And don't half of you spam voke every time you see Despot up claimed despite your incessent claims that it's stealing? Even if you deny that, the fact you stand on top of parties with claim and have target locked on Despot, you're not giving a good impression. Yes. You're right. From a purely technical point of view, he earned his gear by the rules of loldynamis. I never said he didn't earn it. I said he didn't deserve it. Here in the real world, lots of undeserving people earn a lot of things.

...hell, a lot of undeserving people obtain a lot of things without properly earning them, but that's neither here nor there.

And one other thing I'd like to clarify in advance: I don't condone what happened. I just find it hard to feel sympathy in this case. In the end, it just winds up being a mildly humorous incident with trash on both sides, for their own various reasons.

Maybe like a Gilbuyer actually farming/crafting for a change and earning some legitimate money?

Like I said, from a purely technical point of view, he did the work the LS required of him to get relic. In that regard, he has earned it. This is an opportunity that shouldn't honestly exist though, especially considering the fact that he still doesn't get that what happened was very wrong, as he's posted in this very thread.

I'm hardly one to come into a thread and try to correct people or tell them that they're wrong, but I can't really stay away from this.

I can freely say that I do not agree with Hellstorm on anything. I can say that I agree with many that have posted in this thread, and also disagree with many.

However, the overall point of this thread was to warn people against an LS thief that has no care for anyone in the linkshell. Regardless of whether or not anyone feels Hellstorm deserved his AF2 hat or not, it was stolen. Stolen unappologetically by some asshole that then warped to play Fashion Show with himself in his Mog House. The thread was created to warn the community against this asshole Grndmstr (hard to type that without vowels >_>; ). This was done as a favor to the community so another linkshell doesn't have to go through this kind of drama. Can the other bullshit go now please?

Rappa was correct, there isn't much else that we can say than: Wow, that really blows, I'm sorry. But at the very least take the thread as what its meant to be, an APB on some ninja-lotting heartless dumbfuck. Again, I sympathize with Hellstorm and the people in line behind him in LolD.
