First, well, they're just plain annoying.

Lastly, the group decided they were done XPing after the PLD dinged, and they all fake DC'd. I know they could all be on the same router or w/e, but when RMT DC, they all DC. The WHM went first, then the RDM, took a while for the THF, then the PLD went way after.

Heads up to people out there.

Can't speak about the other 3, not a fan of the PLD in the least.

Bad experience a few months ago when tryina XP my PUP.

Mei and Raz were nice people, but I can't speak about their party play...

Wataza was always a pretty good guy. The only guy who stuck around with me through 19+ diabolos prime fights with idiots.

But i haven't seen him on in ~a year so any number of things could have changed.
 
From my understanding, Meilin was a fairly nice person as well. I just plain won't exp with Foxcold, as the person is a douche extraordinaire and believes he/she/it knows more about any job than anyone alive.

As for the deciding they're done before someone or two dings, that's on the rise again. I saw it in Garlaige the other night (at level 33!) Party only lasted for 1.5 hours, we moved once and the pt leader had us camp OVER a dead party at the banishing gate during this time, and when the leader and someone from his LS dings, they bail on the party with the excuse "sry I have gods in less than an hour."

Either way, vigilance to all!

lol, i'll have to take a raincheck on that :\ i've been awayish from ffxi lately, and i rarely ever find myself in need of a powerlevel, but hell, i'll take one if offered from time to time ^^ can i hit you up ingame sometime?

So... Rather than just say "Hey we're going to disband when he levels because we're tired," you all d/c'd on someone?

I don't know you or the kind of person you are or what kind of player you are, and I don't care. What I do know now is that if you get tired or don't happen to care for someone you're partying with, you and your buddies might up and d/c on me. If I were looking for members for my party, I likely wouldn't look for someone with that kind of track record.

There's a way to do things. If someone's irritating you, either replace them or tell them you're ending the party in x amount of time. They don't have to like it but it gives someone at least the respect you'd want from them and I'm sure they would appreciate it more than you up and bailing. He didn't appear to enjoy your company either, but he didn't d/c on you all.
 
Meeze always gets the best pickup groups. You should keep a bottle of tequila beside your computer just for pickup groups. I think you might find it useful.
 
Mei is actually one of the more patient and funloving people I've experienced in this game, so hearing this is a little odd to me. A while back she organized a whole Reverand Mail run for a ton of people on these very boards. She was patient and very nice to everyone. Kept people laughing while we were waiting so she must have been either really really fuckin tired or really aggrivated.

I wasn't in the party or am I in any of these peoples linkshells, so I can vouch for their behavior for the most part, but every time I run into Mei she's all smiles.

I do know that Foxcold is a strange little person though. I partied with him once in the lower 40s and he proceeded to diss on everyone in the party but his words were so retarded we couldn't help but laugh him off. He eventually shut up though. Recently saw him scolding someone in /sh for not spelling Hauby correctly and acting like an all-around butthead.

Meh, w/e.

It wasn't, it was a newer player that just got into the level bracket to actually equip the item. There weren't any on AH so he was /shouting offers. Fox decided to reprimand him for the spelling (didn't use auto-translate) and a myriad of other things because people were paying attention to him.

It was a combniation of really freaking tired (to anyone who knows me better, they know I'm always really sick. ; ; boo.) getting some really, really terrible news a few hours before, smashing myself in the face with a window (dont. ask.) and kinda annoyed at Meeze. He wasnt rainbows and sunshine to be around.

Before that Riv. Mail run I did an Ohat run where one player rode the entire alliances nerves so much, we, as a group decided to DC out. I was gonna say I was tired and needed to go, but if everyone agreed to DC, more power to us, I suspose.

To everyone talking down Fox, he seems like a neat guy. I only met him that day, but hes been a welcome addition to my linkshell so far.
 
Oh, it was midfight they did this too. The SAM died because it was just the two of us left. I lived because I'm a THF.

All you have to say is "we're leaving after this guy levels". About 15 minutes earlier I even asked how long we were going because I was going to pop my emp band.

Seems you all had cocks in your mouth and kept your mouth shut.

Come on NA/EU players.. show some character of personality and just SAY if you want to stop a party. Trust me, it's a lot better than taking the 'no bollocks' option.

ok for you i heard from BOTH meeze and the sam that since ima 75drg i must have some nice friends to mooch exp off of so imho u had it coming to urself pal dont make comments like that cause ya tend to piss people off as far as my this whole "flame" crap it phases me none the least because all it is, is a bunch of fucking words from someone who didnt get their way right? this what u want from me or w/e
 
I partied with some of them the other night on my BLU (~38/39). Really nice people, and a decent party, but (and I probably should've mentioned this at the time) definitely in need of practice with controlling hate from cures. While Cure 3 is generally the main cure at high levels, it definitely isn't at those levels, it's more like saying to the mob "here, come hit me". Ditto for mid-fight Curagas.

(For the record, the correct answer at that level range is "maintain Regen on everyone at all times (which should be cake with both WHM and RDM in party), Cure 2 at regular intervals as unspammily as possible, only touch Cure 3 if people are in red and try to avoid curing anyone for a while after doing so, and Curaga's not to be used during battle, period, if it can be avoided". Granted, even then there'll be difficulties with aoe-happy enemies like flies, but it would still be better.)

Aside from that constructive criticism there, I had no major complaints.
