after the first 30 minutes of people jumping out of the way, me and fly started lining up for you lol
Sure, so that's about 1/4 of the party that it was an issue.
Would you argue that 30 minutes of jumping out of the way didn't have any effect on the parse? Not that I have any other point, aside from recognition that it does in fact have an effect.
Everything I said was true. Your statement mentioned SATA making things easier for THFs at the Greater Colibri camp. While that's true, it's rare that I'll full SATA. It's not as efficient, and I'll only do it when all timers and TP are available. Even then, it doesn't make as much sense as splitting. Full SATA is just for Epeen, not for efficient meriting.
Anyway, I wanted to post the flipside, that illustrated the reality of meriting at that camp the vast majority of the time. It wouldn't paint an accurate picture if we left out 95% of the details.
"on greater colibri, SATA affords the THF the ability to keep shadows, keep food, and never take dmg, and someone has to lose shadows, recast more often, lose food, and ultimately do less dmg than the thf, but increase the overall output of the party."
This is what I am talking about. It's a much more even playing field than you describe. As I said, I lost nearly 4 stacks of food, lost TP, casted plenty of shadows (even Ichi, omg!!), took damage (although less than the WARs I'm sure - thanks Evasion Bonus and merits!) in about 2 hours. When I was doing all the same crap that you WARs were doing, that was your opportunity to let lose. Enjoy the fact that you can essentially let lose immediately at 100% TP, and not worry about much of anything. The THF can as well, but they have to be looking at timers constantly, to
anticipate what will be the best way to use their TP for maximum results. Factor in all the moving and MOB spinning, and this becomes a larger issue for the THF to deal with. I wouldn't ask for extra care, being a job that could technically use it. THFs that require too much assistance aren't worth your XP PT's time. It's not worth holding other party members back. It's up to the THF to refine their methods, much of which just ends up requiring last minute adjustments, a skill in it of itself.
You only lose food when you have hate. I like to pull my weight and not let others carry me. Especially, those that
think they are carrying me.
