What do you know about bend? One of the fastest growing cities in the country right now, you living in oakland you have no right call anything a shit hole, accept the raiders stadium and the morons that go to the game.
Clean rivers 4 mountains i can see from my backyard forests trails rock climbing and ppl that respect the earth sounds like a shit hole huh.
LOL, didn't know you'd take offense. Bend is a wannabe Berkeley, just like Asheville. I can't stand the pretentious pricks who walk around acting like they are all earth, and materialistic things aren't good. But you see them all wearing the same birkentsocks, or teva sandles, they all drive subarus because it fits the image. Old volvos and beamers still put around.
When you order breakfast, you can pay $5 for yogurt with granola on it, or you can order the eggs benedict with the apple sauce sausage and grain and oat bread. I just want a fucking OJ, it doesn't need to have all the pulp and some grind in it to make it sour, I like sweet OJ. I want two eggs over medium and some normal beef or pork sausage. No I don't want tofu instead of hamburger, no I dont want soy milk, no I dont want hormone free steaks.
Why can't someone care about the enviornment and dress normal? Why do those people conform to whatever the latest fad of wearing shirts with stupid messages on them, or putting bumperstickers on cars, or naming their kids Mooncloud or some shit.
Those cities are fake. Saturday night I found a piece of Asheville with real people in it and I loved it. I watched the UFC fight with all sorts of people while they had a karoake night. The black chicks were singing along to guns n roses, there was no need to conform just because they liked hip hop. They didn't feel embarrased for knowing the words. One guy had a mullet and everything. Just down to earth people living how they live. There were some people that were well dressed, some that had on tank tops and jeans.
Cities like the 3 in question are so funny, because they spend all their time trying to figure out how to be so liberal, and free, that they put up all sorts of rules to keep it that way.
The natural landscape may be pretty, but so is Denver, and I'd much rather live an city whose whole flow doesn't have a "we're better than you cause we care" attitude.
BTW, I've been to bend about 8 times, how many times you been to Oakland?
