Growing tired of this .....

Well whatever the case in long pulls they will hit you period rather it's lag or they can hit you from a further distance or their faster.

The point is they will hit you in a long pull even when pulling from the furtherest possible distance.

As for actual fights, use /NIN in the case you can't get away without taking damage or there is AoE that shadow will take. Otherwise sub WAR, but I rarely got that chance so I doubt you will either.

Alot of people have said this, and it's near worthless. I don't know if there are any terribly good daggers around at 37 with decent stats on them, but if you are dual-wielding you are pretty much just doubling your delay.

More often then not you will lose your shadows because of having them for so long, not because of getting hit. At 37, i assume you are partying in CN, there aren't any AoE's that wouldn't go through shadows if you didn't already have them up.

When your in the crawlers nest and you have to pull the crawlers way back in the tunnel it's not only a long pull but it can involve 1-2 turns if your pulling from way back there and they will catch you on the turn(s) and swing at you. Same for Citdel or any other place you go to.

It's not near worthless, it's a 10% delay reduction. People seem to think because both weapons delays are added, it suddenly becomes useless. The delay might be almost twice as long, but you're swinging two daggers, not one. That being said, the 25% attack bonus for 60% of the time will outweigh any bonus stats on any dagger available; however, that wasn't the argument. The issue is if you're taking hits and becoming an MP sponge. Kitty had already stated a majority of her parties had slow first vokes and she ended up taking hits either way. The best and safest way to save yourself is to just sub NIN.

Re: Mob speed.
If you're a smart puller and the mob is the same speed as yourself, you can not only avoid taking a single hit, you should also be able to kite it until it loses hate. This doesn't work on all mobs or works differently on some, but if you keep enough distance, they'll just stop. I think although not entirely positive, it works best on mobs that track by scent.

As far as the topic of pulling. Does anyone else find then they pull the mob is actually pulled and running towards you way before the animation lock is gone from the ranged attack? I havent pulled for some time and found it very annoying when I had to do it the other day.

Not entirely sure what you mean, but I've found that I am "bound" sometimes for a short moment when the ranged attack goes off and after the mob starts moving. It's very similar to when you freeze up during a cure, haste, buff, etc. It's not anything new, but you should move just a fraction of a second before the ranged attack occurs to avoid it. If you're using voke to pull though, I find it best to be on auto run away from the mob then voke to get max distance.

I start running before the arrow/bolt is shot. It gives me a bit of a head start. Just like casting spells, it can be done with ranged attacks too.

Yes, I guess I just call that an "Animation lock" because the animation is locking you from moving. But yeh that is exactly what I am talking about. Voke pull? I havent done that for about 3 years. It seems when using a boomerang it was more noticable, and seemed to cause me to really use my shadows. I could be on crack but it seemed that when that animation lock happens, its significantly harder to "not use your shadows".

I only mentioned voke pulling because I did it frequently as WAR at low levels and I do it in merits occasionally to grab mobs when there is competition on mobs.
