Just tried this method and played through a race with the Evo-X GSR.

Just create a new account/user that's located in Japan, and then dowload the demo for free.

So download the game, start it up once under the JP account, then you can switch back to your original.

Yes most know. BUT the wheel made specificly for GT5 is $330... You have been upset with things like this in the past even tho there were other options;;

I wont be buying the wheel lol. Not taking anything away from GT5 either because of it. But wtf is sony doing man, didnt they learn with the PS3s price? Fire i was thinking it was something else... Hmmm. Cant remember but it was not the bioshock thing.
