I got this game at midnight lastnight and beat expert in 3 hours pretty much five starring every song.
its very short....very easy.
and either i have to get used to using the wireless les paul since ive had the wired GH2 guitar all through GH3, or they changed the timing for hammer ons and pull offs, stuff i can normally hit perfectly in GH3 is giving me crap.
Achievements are way too easy, and the difficulty ones stack (beat expert, unlock hard and easy)
in the first song i played, i unlocked 8 achievements. in the FIRST song.
and by time i completed it, i have over 500 Gamerscore for this game, when it took me 1000X as long to get that much in GH3.
Meh, its fun, good songs. But too short/too easy and not much to it.

Yeah they did shorten the timing window a little in GH:A compared to GH3, as well as removing the "infinite front-end" on hopos (in gh3 you could hold down a hopo note as early as you wanted and when it came up, if you were still holding it it would trigger - try it in Kool Thing or Halo theme during the holds).

It's not really meant to be a difficult game, it's clearly targeted more at casual players. I don't have my copy yet but I think I'll like it.

i like it alot, i just feel that there wont be as much replay value as GH3, especially with songs like Janies got a gun missing...but mott the hoople FTW!

Does it have Aerosmith's version of "Come Together"?

Been playing it for about a week now, it's really not that hard compared to GH3. Joe Perry Battle is a lot easier than TFAF. I really like the assortment of songs, but I wish there was more to the setlist than was actually there. I don't know if Janie's got a gun would be a great *guitar* song, but I haven't listened to it in forever.

So far my favorite song to play is Rats in the Cellar.

Edit. To clarify my week claim, my store put it on display when the shipment came in so that people could practice for the tourney we held today. This was OK'd by corporate so they must have worked out an green light from activision.

well the most difficult song in the game is supposed to be Train Kept a Rollin', pretty much. It's the only song that hasn't been FCed yet.

And dear god I hope there's never again a song as fucking stupid as TTFAF.

there will be, and i cant wait for it. i love a challenge, and TTFAF is a piece of cake for me now

Kinda sad that the entire game has been FC'd short of one song (probably even that by now) and it's only been out for a day.

It's aerosmith. What were you expecting...? Besides, petererk just got -7 on Black Widow of La Porte after an intro FC. The community is sick as hell now. I would've been shocked if the game took more than a week to be 90+% FC'd.

I just find the overall concept sad, but I'm not an obsessive player of any game so I guess it's just foreign to me to play for perfection like this.

I'm sorry but the track selection of this song sucked balls.

Amazing, Crazy, Jaded, none of their larger more modern hits were in the game. Dani fell asleep watching me play it! So if we all agree it's easy then it simply must suck.

elph and i were thinking about getting this. but if my fave Aerosmith song of all time, Janie's got a gun, isn't on there then.........whats left?

i'm that big an Aerosmith fan really :P

Make a Metallica one, like people are begging for, and i'll be all over that.

GH:Aerosmith is solid... I like it overall, even if it's a bit on the easy side mostly.

GH:Metallica in q1 '09 btw.
