I've seen many of these on youtube, I'm wondering if anyone has insight into such doings? I'm noticing that a lot of it is done on the Demo... is that the only way to do this? I'll ask more if anyone knows what I'm talking about..

I know what your talking about, it's basically they'll bring up the original song list, but when it boots up the current level, an entirely new song is played. The PS2 demo had a way for you to edit around some info and then extract the songs and replace them with new songs. You couldn't chance the text or list, nor the notes I believe, but it would be a new song for you to listen.

If you have a PS2 with HD loader installed, there are torrents with customized song tracks to download. I think PS2 HD forums also had a step by step guide on how to edit the songs with the PS2 demo disc, but I really didn't go over it too much, it was too complex for me.

Alright, thanks.. I've misplaced or destroyed the PS2 HD's I have, but it's good to know I guess.. Thanks again Pup

You don't really need the specific HD from FFXI to use HD loader. You can use any HD, I currently have an 80 gig Western Digital in mine. Google "ps2hdforums" for the site, and check where the Guitar Hero 2 thread is, it'll give you more info.

I haven't done this myself, but from the stuff I've read up on I know it can be done with the game itself, though it'll require a DVD burner and mod chip for your PS2. As far as I know, you rip the game onto your computer, and then replace the songs and notecharts with new ones. The forums on www.scorehero.com have a bunch of tutorials on the process.
