They could have chosen a better song really. Especially since the game is called GUITAR Hero. Man, I remember when these guys use to own hard too :/ I'm gettin' old.

EDIT: I'm an idiot and misunderstood what you meant >_> Anyway, I meant I'm disappointed in the song, would've vastly preferred some of the older stuff, although I still prefer this song to a lot of other bands that could have been put in... But something with a guitar solo at least would've been nice.

Some new info from ScoreHero: One of the mods who missed the original Neversoft trip was given a private trip to play GH3 on his own. He released some interesting details on the final encore: It's something he's never seen requested before and it's never been made into a custom. Also, there's a song in the final tier that's been unannounced and is his favorite song in the entire game. (Full thread here http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25154 )

Anyway, now that I've got a 360 I'm even MORE pumped about this game... October 28th can't come fast enough ; ;

EDIT: realized I misunderstood Chasym

Odds are that's not the actual setlist, GameFAQs is about as reliable as Wikipedia for this stuff >.> People start rumors all the time, best off not believing it until we see some actual proof.

and if there's no Megadeth in GH3 I'm going to cry :( even if it is shitty Washington is Next! that's been rumored a hundred times

and how the hell would Stricken be tier 7 lol

some good songs on there ^^

Now if only there was J-rock on there XD

Wow, Take this Life looks absolutely retarded... but fun. :D

Doesn't look that bad, I could probably pass that on a sight read. Most important thing would probably end up being saving SP for the red flash rather than just hitting it right at the start of the solo.

The stuff before the solo looks really fun, minimal strumming needed for that one.

A 5-song demo is in the new issue of OXM, and apparantly Game Crazy's all over the place have the demo + Les Paul. And apparantly, the demo is going up on Marketplace next week o_O I absolutely cannot wait through this game, haven't been this excited for a game... ever. Kinda pissed that I fell so far on the GH2 PS2 rankings on scorehero when I took a break for a month, but I intend to get back up there on the GH3 leaderboards. But I'm sure you don't care, here are the demo vids

Can the demo be played using a standard controller?

I know it works with the Xplorer, and I'd assume it works with the standard controller too, like all the previous games... But I haven't gotten to play it yet (going to Game Crazy in about 20 minutes to pre-order and play the demo, if they have it), so I'm not sure.
