Yes! This one will have online multiplayer (Co-op and face off) AND Wireless!

Plus:

"We've got a lot of songs and artists still that we would love to have," Huang commented. "In particular, we've been trying to get Metallica, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin. So hopefully sometime in the near future, my wish and everybody's wish will come true and we can get some of their music in the game."

Also for PS3, PS2, Wii and DS (eventually), but i though it put it here as the 360 forum has more Guitar Hero at the moment.

Wireless and online play should have been available for this one, but that's cool that it'll be around for GH3.

Hopefully there will be a bunch of the songs from GH1 and 2 in the game also, maximizing our track lists.

METALLICA RULLLLESSSSSS (The Simpsons).

Too bad they will never sell their song rights to anyone. ever.

Bleh, they need to release an extreme version with Thrash, Grind, and Death metal. Would make it a lot more challenging of a game for sure.

There's a smattering of Buckethead in GH2.

hehe.. ya, but maybe because so many like Guitar Hero and such they'll do it.. I dunno. I'm really hoping for Guitar Hero: Metallica XD all Metallica, all the time :P Could do that with other bands too like Black Sabbath, ACDC, etc.

Metallica is horribly overrated.

you, sir, are a failure of life. Go die.. now :D Metallica > all (though, I only listen to the earlier Metallica XD Ride The Lightening, And Justice for All, Master of Puppets, etc).

I still don't see how Metallica are sell outs. They aren't the ones going around selling their work to all games and shit so they can get more money. They just don't like their work ripped off. Any ARTIST would hate to have their work ripped off.

See my post. They also completely changed their look and sound. Metallica sold out, and to even prove they sold out they made a movie about them having troubles with each other. That is freaking pathetic. Metallica is not even that good. You boil down their music it is the same chords just with a different drum pattern and lyrics. Hammett just plays stuff he practices with and modifies it for songs.

I never saw that DVD, lol. I dunno, they were the first to do music like that (and popular). Black Sabbath was also heavy metal but different too :P And EVERY band has the same kinda music pretty much. Especially these days.. lolLinkin Park. EVERY song of their's sounds EXACTLY the same.

Edit: I'd also like to add, after Cliff Burton's death, that really did fuck them up a lot. :\ they did kinda.. stop playing for a long time and eventually, when they came back, came back changed.

WTF Metallica was the first heavy metal band? God no you are so fucking far off base there. I can start listing bands that were before Metallica became popular. There was Anthrax Slayer Iron Maiden Judas Priest Death Ozzy Guns and Roses (if you want to consider them metal I don't) and SO many more bands. Black Sabbath is credited as the first heavy metal band, and of course it sounds different. They had a blues rock and roll mix.

What really fucked Metallica over was kicking Dave Mustaine out of the band. I think Megadeth became popular before Metallica did. Elemmire sometimes you post some really good posts, but this just is so far off base.

I never said first metal band, but was the one of the first popular XD like really, and before them I really never heard anyone that had music like their's. I know Black Sabbath is the first heavy metal band (well credited, there could be some unknown one that never made it), but ya, as I said, I never really heard anyone like Metallia before them.

Slayer has a sound that is like old Metallica except faster heavier, and they're older. There were a lot of very popular bands. You're just saying Metallica because along with Guns they kind of killed the hair metal bands. They weren't even one of the first popular because once again Judas Priest formed in the 1970s became popular before Metallica. Metallica just came at the right time sort of like Marylin Manson did. Kids wanted to find a band that rebelled against the norm and income Marylin Manson and they're like hey this works.

I think you can even throw Pantera (Post-hairband when Phil Anselmo joined) as popular before Metallica. I can't remember when Cowboys was released.

Metallica's big breakthrough came when their "Enter Sandman" video debuted on the brand new music TV station, MTV. Before that they were totally underground and not that popular.

They are horrendously overrated. Their music drones on hard, too long, and doesn't feel like it's going anywhere at all. It's very, very monotonous.

If you think Metallica is that great and yet you think Linkin Park's songs all sound exactly the same, something is wrong with your hearing.

Eh, but Judas Priest and Pantera to me sound different :P ah well

Still considered metal. Pantera is thrash metal just like Metallica where as Priest is metal metal.

Tiger you're slightly off Metallica's big break through. They were underground, but the underground fans stopped listening to them at that point when the video came out. MTV came out 85-87 something like that. Metallica said they would never put a video on MTV then they did Black Album.

Ele I respect your choices of music, but there is and was so many better bands than Metallica. As I said Metallica just came into the light at the right time.

Heh, I might also really love Metallica cause they were the first band that really got me into metal. But it's also why I listen to their older stuff. And even so, why aren't they allowed to change their mind? Maybe they had a great idea for a video with one of their songs so they just had to do it :P if I were gonna make a game or a book or something, even if I said I was never going to, if it was a great idea to me, I'd go right for it.

Because it was conforming to the mainstream media, and metal has never been about that Elemmire.

Hehe, I dunno.. I just see them as artists XD *shrugs* if you can get your art out there through the mainstream media, that doesn't seem bad to me.. but ah well
