Anyone been playing this?

We picked it up on Saturday and it hasnt left the ps2 yet. My brother is ont eh last set of songs in expert mode, I'm half way through hard.

But everyone who we get to play this game play it differently -

Standing up vs. Sitting down?

Guitar pick vs. Hand?

Select Button vs. Bar?

And two of our butons on the guitar are swapped, which is rather annoying considering that the middle button is grooved so you know where your fingers are, kind of annoying when its not where its supposed to be.

My only complaints with this game are

1. The track listing sucks - though there are incredibly fun classics and even shitty songs taht are fun to play on here, I think there should have been a much wider array of music on there - there is just way too much metal.

2. The two player mode SUCKS, co-op is not cool with this game. Could have had them playing differnet parts of the song at the same time or one play bass while the other guitar. Its just more fun to play alone and take turns than it is to play together.

3. I want cooler guitar skins. WTF?

I saw some guys playing this at Best Buy yesterday, but I couldnt find the damn game. Does it come with the guitar? I really want to get it.
 
as far as I know it does - the game is in total about $70 bucks from what my brother told me.
 
Whats the guitar look like? is there alot of buttons or like 4? Theres how many strings? and are they strings or "strings"?

I love my sg if its really like playing guitar I wanna try it.
 
Whats that thing where the strings go? A roller or something? Like a mouse wheel?
 
I just picked this up today and I'm jamming out to it as we speak. I'll leave more impressions later but I can already say it's more entertaining that Guitar Freaks.

Why not just buy a real guitar and make your own music? That's what I do when I'm bored, and the songs that I play kick ass.
 
Is there a way that you can "free play" in this and play it like a real guitar, or is this thing more like DDR for your hands where all you do is press green, then red, then orange and that somehow produces a song?
 
After seeing that guitar, i dont think that you will be able to tap at all let alone do half the stuff that Malmsteen does. But that would be pretty cool if it did have the ability to do it.

Can someone post the songlist of things that you can chose from?

I just want to know if they have anything from either Zepplin or Iron Maiden.

My freinds and i concurred that the game is like ddr for your fingers.

You have to strum along while you hit the buttons too. There's no free play either.

Theres an iron maiden song on there.
 
Yea I'll pass, looks like real guitar is funner, out of curiousity what Maiden song is it? The Tooper would be a hard one with those buttons.
