Been looking everywhere for the guitar tabs for a song called "Dirty wings" but I just cant find it.

Its written by a guy named Viktor Smolski and sung by Tobias Sammet.
Its the opening song on Nuclear blasts anniversary album.

Heres a little link: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/revi...lear_blast_allstars/into_the_light/index.html

If anyone know where I can find them I would appreciate (sp?) it very, very much :D

Sorry Akron I checked all the tab sites I know and couldn't find anything. It may be too new for people to have tabbed yet.

Finding tabs of anything like that is always really hard. I hate having a song I really like and not being able to get tabs for it.

I think they really messed up in who they chose to make the music these albums and I'm thankful I don't normally have to spend my money on things from the kind folks at Nuclear Blast. While I'm not a huge power metal fan, I think they have better guys on their line up to make an album than the chosen ones. Probably would have been better if they'd swapped up more than just the singers throughout the album. Same goes for the black/death/thrash album. Either way, that's not what this if for. Anyway, I looked around and I couldn't find anything for you either so I can't be of much use in givin' you a direct tab.

What I can do is tell you this. I was never much good at figurin' things out by ear until someone told me what I'm about to tell you. Throw the CD in your player and put the song on repeat while you're tryin' to fall asleep or just when you have a lot of time and are bored. Try to visualize what is goin' on with the hammer ons, pull offs, sliding, etc. -NOT- correct notes. Then the next time you play, try to mimic the song. If you can figure out what they are doin' you've done most of the work already it's just matching notes now and that will come with trial and error (if you know your scales it'll be easy peazy). Practice this and it'll get faster and faster until you can eliminate havin' to use tabs for more than checkpoints. Don't worry about tuning either as you will eventually find the notes and can tune up or down as necessary -IF- you wish to. However, most Rage songs are in D-Tuning (not drop D) but can be fit just fine to play in standard. This goes for any song that doesn't have a bottoming out sound on the low strings. If you hear some bottoming out goin' on you can start from D usually. However, if it's bottoming out and from a European band, you can almost guarantee it to be in C tuning. They've perfected that tuning and my god does it sound awesome. If it's an American band, check C, they like to play with it, but you'll probably hit home with B. Hope you can use this to help you out a bit.

strid is right for that. Most of the songs ive learned have been by ear just imitating till i matched. Half the time ill be sitting here just playing random stuff then ill hear something familiar and i keep playing it till i figure out what song it is. Thats almost creepy sometimes how much i come acrossed learning songs like that.
Reason i started learning to play songs by ear is because i was trying out for this band, they gave me three of their songs. No music sheets or anything, JUST the cd. And told me to learn at least one to try out.
I swear it was the first time i had to do it that way...and i got it.
The only thing i had wrong was i was playing in C when they played it in C# so i was slightly off but pretty much still correct.
this is the way to go!

I have tried to learn this by ear. Something Im usually good at (if you ask me lol) but this one just slips away from me and its been driving me insane. It doesnt sound right somehow.

Hmm, maybe it is D-tuned cause at first I thought it was D# tuned.
Guess I'll have to sit down a few more hours (read days lol) with this song and figure it out somehow.

Thanks for the all assistance :D
