Last night i really wanted to get Blm to 40 for Warp2 and BCNM 40. I was only 3000 xp from 40, so i figured one more xp session would do it. So i put my flag up, and sure enough, a minute later i get a tell.

Magicbear: Party?
Me: Sure
Me: {Long Time} {Party}?
Magicbear: {/Yes}

He was already in Gustav so i head out to meet up with him.. I dont really like being a replacement, but he said it was gonna last so sounded good to me.

I get there and the they are already ripping through gobs. Looked like a good party, plus they had a powerlevel.

War/nin

Thf/nin
Blm/whm (me)

After 2 or 3 fights one of the warriors has to go.... gives notice that this is his last fight and leaves with the powerleveler. OK no prob, we get a brd coming so all is good. 2 seconds later another warrior has to leave. Things arent looking so good, but we get a dark knight to come down, so we should still be ok.

now our party looks like this:

Thf/nin
Drk/war
Whm/blm
Brd/whm
Blm/whm

Everyone get together and we struggle to kill one gob because the Drk didnt know how SATA worked :roll: . It was obviously his highest job, so i dont hold it against him, hes a new player, no biggie.

I explain how SATA works, then Magicbear leaves. THIS IS WHAT PISSED ME OFF!!. Magicbear told me this was goin to be a longtime party, and he leaves before i even get 1000 xp. He did have the respect to get a replacement for himeself, but that is beside the point, so i send him a tell

Magicbear: lol
MB: party is still together
Me: yea.... drk is a newb....

At this point I was still determined to get to lv 40, so we continue. The replacement Whm get there his name is Kye. 10 seconds after he gets to camp he spams...

Kye examines you. (but he did it 15-20 times)

I give him a /slap, and so did the whm in the party behind us. He deserved it very much so, during his spam the other party had 2 deaths.

after 1 more fight, Drk says he had to go. WTF!! he was only there for 2 fights. i asked him if he is serious, he says "Yea Im really tired"

I had had enough, i say goodbye and Warp home gaining 1000 xp if im lucky in over an hour. I know lv 40 isnt very high, but this bull sh!t is Valkurn Dunes behavior.

Moral of the story: PLEASE dont call in replacements unless the party is gonna stay together. Dont waste peoples time and money getting teleport/chocobo/food.

Indeed. Good thing I didn't really care so much whenever that happend to me. Otherwise I'd be pissed.
But really, if you're going to leave a damn party- give a notice beforehand. And if you're going to get a replacement, make sure you aren't wasting the replacement's time. :roll:
 
There's Powerlevelling in Gustav now?

Yeah, there's been powerleveling in gustav for months. I'm still waiting on people to get powerleveled in Boyahda Tree before I quit.
 
It's really no wonder that the DRK has no idea how SATA works...

PL means no hate control is required, no MP conservation, no chain skills, no renkeis....

All the skills that are required for a good functioning party are redundant...

It's really no wonder that there are more and more players with no idea getting to higher levels :oops: :oops:
