Well, I wasn't sure where to put this so I thought I'd just put it here. I was hacked sometime this week (I found out on Friday night) and I am a little concerned. I play on XBOX 360 so I didn't think I could be hacked...

I didn't give my info to anyone, and I can see my character selling some of my equipment over FFXI AH. I had really bad timing when I found out I was hacked because I found out on a Friday night after the Help Desk online centre closes. So now I have had to wait all weekend while this jerk sells all of my gear :(

I was just wondering from others who have had their characters hacked, how long does it take to get your account back? When you do, did you get all of the stuff you lost back?

Any feedback/advice will be appreciated. :)

I have a few suggestions as to you being "hacked".
It's pure conjecture at this point, yes.
I'm sure we can agree it would be an open possibility though.
At any rate, until you get Begen back you're welcome to play Lec.

that sucks man, my character was jacked too, i wasn't able to get mine back though so i really can't say how long it takes to get back
 
Sorry to hear that.... same happened to me, but i was banned too lol, fighting with SE to do a roll back...
 
Dang Eor, so far I have been somewhat lucky and have gotten my account frozen atm so not much more damage can be done. Not a whole lot has been done (that I know of), I just lost about 800k worth of gear, and maybe my gil that I was sitting on, hopefully nothing more.

I hope to get in contact with SE Help Desk this week and see what we can do. I am not looking forward to a roll back.

If you are referring to the item restoration process, that takes quite a bit of time. When I had to deal with it on my old character took about 1-2months. Guess that's nothing compared to the time it'd take to make the gil back without the aid of GMs. =/

wow that sucks :( i know someone that got hacked and they DID get there toon back after a month or so w/ all there gear, but for some reason 1 of there jobs was delvl by like 10 lvs, there still trying to get SE to correct the job lv but idk if it will work
 
Damn, I'd offer you a pat on the back but I don't have a reason to drive over to Oakridge anymore. :)

You can get it all back, no worries.

Damn, this sucks Begen, hope everything gets settled in the end. If you need help makin that money back thru KS or BSNMs hit me up. I'm always down to help out.

I didnt know it was possible for a Xbox or PS2 to get hacked, sorry to hear this happened to you Begen hope SE gives you a speedy return of all you lost.

Thanks, I didn't bother buying one because I as well, did not think it was possible to be hacked on an XBOX 360.

I've gotten my account frozen, so it won't have any more damage to it. So far I don't think I've had a huge loss at all, just about 1 mil worth of stuff
 
Begen!!! Nooooo, that sucks you got hacked and I believed the same thing as you. How can you hack an XBOX 360 or PS3 if you don't give out your info. :x
