Haha.. otaku

Wow, what a bunch of nerds.

If I were to visit Japan, it wouldn't be for an anime con.

You got yellow fevah boy.

Seriously, I'd go to see the countryside areas, probably. Why go to Tokyo? It's really no different from any other city in the world, except for a billion more lights, and a thousand times more crowded.

I'd definitely go to an anime con if there happened to be one, but I wouldn't plan my whole trip around it. But yeah Skaw, the countryside is amazing, it was so nice to get away from the city when I was there, though I wouldn't recommend climbing Fuji. Just don't do it, it sucks.

the countryside in Japan is where you will actually SEE the Japanese culture :| not Tokyo.. that's becoming Americanized to Hell (so sad I think.. cause our culture blows)

um.. I liked the bunnygirl that popped up for 0.5 seconds.

Learned the language from manga and anime? He found out where 70% of english speaking people learn their japanese. lol

Stupid cute kitty... to you eh?
ps you're so great?

I watch some anime, I read manga, and I've been to conventions. These people put to shame people like me who actually worked hard and studied Japanese for 4 years and earned a trip to Japan. Yeah I've been called a "Japanophile" before but some of those people in the video really take the cake on that one.

I <3 this person XD

and some people are retardedly obsessed with Japan.. that's why they get a label of Japanophile from me :P you can admire Japanese culture (hell, I do.. it's far more family oriented than the US and more of a "we" than a bunch of "I"s) but getting obsessed as if it was the second coming of Jesus is just.. insane. Japan has it's up and downs as does EVERY country :P

Wow learning Japanese from anime and manga. =p I have to admit though, I wouldn't mine going to Japan either to attend some conventions or buying some manga, anime, and art stuff. But alas I'm poorga, maybe in the future.

It's not so bad. >_>

I climbed Fuji a few weeks ago, and it was terrible. Some of our group made it to the 9th station, but couldn't see their hand in front of their face. My group almost made it to the 9th, but it was raining really hard by then and around 3am. We stopped at a hut, but because one of our friends was black, they wouldn't serve her so we refused to even eat there.

We ended up heading back down in the pouring rain to the next hut down where they only let us stay in there for 10 minutes while we ate. Heading down took forever though, it was worse than going up and I never want to do it again. It was beautiful, but I just wanted to get back to the hotel at that point.

Guess you got unlucky. I've climbed it twice with no real problems. It did rain a good bit on my way back down the second time, though, and I can definitely see that being a horrible experience on the way back up.

We were all orange by the time we got all the way down from the dirt. My teacher used to climb mountains all the time and he said this was some of the worst conditions he's seen on Fuji. I wish it was more rock climbing than switchbacks, because I can handle the rock climbing fine but everything else killed my legs. I really wish I could have seen the sunrise from the top, but I'm really proud of myself for what I accomplished.
