Hmmmm.
One can not call out a mod (or "mods" as some of you innacurately mention, please do not group my actions to Cubs or his to mine) for being powermad or rights abusing when there is no set rule sheet for FB moderation.
What we have as of now are 2 FB mods with different opinions on what stays and what goes. I will state my opinion on FB moderation one more time because it appears some of you may have not understood where I personally stand on issues here, even though all the months of pushing I did for an FB mod I explained it to both supporters and opponents:
Posts that are in the vein of a cdorka "OmG I Fucked my Teachur!!11!1 (yes I know I misspelled teacher) will be removed promptly. They are not Flames. They are Spam. I care not what anyone says, you would be hard pressed to convince me that a thread titled that about that is a Flame.
The case of the Harry Potter spoiler and all threads like it, I will delete.
Crucify me, yell, cheer, spit whatever, I care not. Those posts are not Flames and existed purely to ruin something that many people looked forward to under the guise of a genuine Flame.
I will include here thread necro'ing, Cubs has a talent for catching a necro
as it comes back up from the ashes, and as such I need not worry about necro's because I know he's on it ^^b
I also stand by my analogy of being a "janitor" in which I simply clean up the mess when needed. The FB actually needs very little moderation, it only needs a watchfull eye IMHO to catch the above mentioned style posts
and take care of them as the situation dictates. I watch this board all day at work and at home and check up on it at night. I work from a CPU 95% of my day and volunteered my services here due to that factor.
If it makes you feel all strong inside to call me powermad or power abusive, fine. Like I said earlier I care not. My actions prove otherwise.
If any QCDN members have an issue with the way the FB is being moderated, you are partially doing the right thing about it by expressing your viewpoints here, another thing you can do is PM Pupusa and state your unhappiness with genuine examples to back your concern.
