I understand what you're saying Ele, but again, seeing an avatar with an Asian woman bouncin' her tits all over the place for an IPod ad vs. a joke about a threesome with Sculli, Jender and I are very very different.
If y'all cannot comprehend that fact, then honest to God all I have to say is "whatever". I'm really tired of goin' round and round (and I'm sure Jender is also) about the difference.
1.) Her tits were far from 'bouncing all over the place'.
2.) Previously you argued that Jender's sig was ok because a child reading it would not really understand it, and thus it could not affect them. Given that logic - how does is it that this exchange is acceptable;
"I have all the sex you need right here!"
"Me too!"
Or even Jender's current and previous titles; "Hooray Boobies!" and "Busty Wench". Or her 'location' - listed as 'In Alanon's Pants'.
Should Alanon feel objectified perhaps? Obviously not - since he is putting himself out there by willingly engaging in such banter. Likewise I am not objectifying the model, who puts herself out there everyday to be viewed and appreciated as beautiful. It's her job for crying out loud - I think it's safe to assume that she does not mind.
I never said you had to 'enjoy' the image - but I will not be called a penis driven chauvinistic sex fiend who debases and objectifies women, simply based on one goddamned image.
Once again - I never said men are the only ones allowed to speak openly about sex. I never said it was bad for women to be open about sex. I never said women were worth less than men. I certainly never said they were objects.
All this being said - I will not listen to someone who does all this - then proceeds to discuss the effects of various foods on the taste of semen - when they try to take the moral high ground with me.
Everyone else who had a legitimate problem with it, you already have my apologies for making you feel uncomfortable. That was never my intention, and I truly am sorry to be the cause of your discomfort.
For those of you who have already displayed a certain level of comfortabilty discussing, joking about, and viewing images relating to or of sex; you do not have a leg to stand on, so stop hopping on the bandwagon, it detracts from those who have legitimate problems.
