Halloween monster thread go!

So, what's your favorite Halloween/generally scary monster, monsters, charater, apparition, etc? Why?

For me, the winner is Zombies. I fuckin' love me some Zombies. Everywhere they go they leave chaos, plauge, and destruction behind! I was in heaven a few years back when all sorts of new Zombie movies were coming out.

A Warewolf can be stopped with a single boring bullet, a vampire by a silent stake, Freddy Kruger can just be ignored (see Elm st. 1), and Michael Myers usually just walks off into the sequel. A Zombie needs to have it's head blown off, so even if it dosen't eat anyone you're still guaranteed at least the gore of it's doom.

I think the last photo is the worst too. It looks like the grin he might have if he were to awaken you with his heavy breathing, as he's hovering over your bed.

Oh god...why?! Tim Curry is like the epitome of horror for me, Rocky Horror Picture Show, IT.... I still have nightmares of Sweet transvestite Clowns from Transsexual Transylvania hiding in the sewers ;;

Oh yeah I watched that movie, I don't like the idea of them being fast zombies >.>; first, it kinda makes them less creepy, since their movements seem more of a dog XD ( Remember that zombie that the soldiers had in the backyard? I lol'd when I saw that, the first thing that came to my mind was a dog...XD )

What made George A Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968 ) a good movie, was because it really was scary, thanks to the effects he gave to it even with low budget, and the zombies slow movements made it creepy and scary, and people liked it. Plus black & white plus the background music... just wow.
