Halloween

I absolutely adore halloween! It's my absolutely fave event of the year, a time when you can dress up like a mo-mo and not get
A) Rocks thrown at you and
B) called a greasy Cos-player.
I just don't think it gets the recognition that it deserves. I work at a local Free Ad Paper and here I am on September 24th, a day that I should be looking up pics of Vampires, Skulls and other gory such things, making a fucking cover for a Christmas Flyer!

I mean what the hell? I hate Christmas! A time when the poor realize just how poor they are, it's cold, it's expensive and it's full of elves!!! I want my bats, glow in the dark fangs, fake blood, loud spooky music, fake cobwebs and other such deliteful treats!

Anyway just putting out a suggestion to fully enjoy one of the more fantastic days of the year. Dress up, get drunk and scare all the little kids that come begging for candy at your door! Enjoy it people! 8)

I feel for you. I design ads at a local newspaper and we are doing a lot of Halloween ads right now. Those are fun to do. Christmas, on the other hand, sucks eggs. They should change the name of Christmas to "Depression." Friggin' worst time of year. Can't wait...

I'm putting some serious thought into an original costume this year. Last year I sawed a golf ball in half, glued it to my head (added a touch of flesh colored putty), and placed blood coming out of every orifice of my face. I finished the look off with my wedge, nike golf shirt, kahkis, and golf glove. Won 1st place at the costume contest! All in all it cost maybe $5 to throw together.

It was great. I got to hit on every hot woman dressed up like a nurse.

That, and I have a fantastic red and black dress with gorgeous velvet-lacey bell sleeves and a bodice that does some nice, uh...hoisting of features. ^^;;

Also, I don't believe that your description of tradition (All Hallows Eve), is exactly right either. There's definitely a bit more to it.

Give that guy a Spiderman costume and the crazy comes out. Unfortunately it sometimes ends in a trip to the hospital for climbing related accidents.

Fortunately I didn't end up in the hospital that evening. Before I fell 10 feet onto the pavement on my head, my leg was trapped between a chain link fence and a guard rail. So I was suspended upside down, head about 3 inches off the cement.
/phew

But I be a friggin' looked like Spidey.

2 days later (when I came to) I cut out some 3 inch thorns from my sides. That was from diving in the bushes with Teej, tha weenuh!!!!

I've never dressed up for Halloween. I came to the US after trick-or-treating age. I feel so deprived. I did put some devil horns on my dog and hand out candy last year--he was a big hit with all the rat-children.

Must...dress...up...this year....:evil: I heart my friends, but they're even more boring than I. :shock:

I almost got someone hit by a car in college. I was dressed up as a scarecrow. I had the mask, overall's, red long underware, brown work gloves, with tuffs of hay sticking out from everywhere. I plopped down in front of the fraternity and as people passed me I would hop up screaming. One person got a little too scared and ran accross the street without looking. I went inside after that and got drunk.
