Hard time getting groups

I'm a Warrior/Monk level 51/25, and I've been having a really hard time getting an EXP party lately. Anyone have any suggestions on what's going on for me to not get a group? I have a couple theories, but here's my top two:

1. People see Warriors as tanks only, and don't think of Warriors as a damage dealer. They also would take a PLD or NIN way before they took a WAR.

2. Subjob isn't NIN, which means no Utsuemi.

I've started leveling NIN some, but not seriously. Just something to pass time when I'm bored.

i dont know what exactly you mean because im not a melee, im a 46 red mage, and its insane!!!!!! i havnt gotten an XP party in 3 fricken weeks!!!!!

WOW.. no PT for both of you?? :shock: :shock: :shock: There is an extreme shortage of both of you at my level. Swishie, I would recommend you get your NIN and THF up asap as well as your Great Sword Skill up as well. Wars are awesome and get parties pretty fast.

I too suffer from the no parties blues. As a THF/NIN, I can go for days without getting an invite into a PT, and especially none from JP parties as my THF. I guess it's 'cause they'd rather not have their lives in the hands of a complete stranger NA player.I'm "stuck" at 47, but in the meantime I've been farming like a madman... I don't understand why the invites have come slowly or what... but when I -DO- get the invites, it's when I have no seek party tag up, I'm off helping someone on a quest and it's around 1-2 AM and I'm ready to go to sleep. lol... Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I thought SATA VB was pretty sought after, as well as good hate control. Maybe we have too many THF in the server

What I've noticed... and I have to thank Tenkax for his advice.. is Learn some Japanese!! It took me forever to get a pt since I am not in a static (but like to be in one :wink: :wink: ) Until I mastered the use of the auto translate function in conjunction with complete Japanese phrases ~ Romaji of course. I would send tells to JP players flattering them by calling them sensei, and then letting them know in Japanese that my Japanese sux but I would like to learn. I am 3/3 so far in forming JP parties . If only I took Tenkax's advice sooner, I would probably be 73+ by now. No rush though.. need to farm/hunt nasty for adaman now as well as help LS and work on Rank.

I got a couple parties within the last couple of days, and finally got to 52 to equip AF2. I'm now working on leveling NIN for a sub, and I'll think about THF for it too. I'll work on Great Sword too. I didn't like it much before, but I'm loving Great Axe, so I'll work on GS too (GA was a pain at my level, but I'm sure I'll eventually cap it).

I've been having trouble with NIN in Gustaberg though. Can't seem to get past level 5 :\ I'm going to try in Ronfaure later though.

Ever since I swapped from Rdm to Mnk for some period, from 15~72 I had a grand total of 9 invites. Thats right I got "nine" invites of my entire monk career. I formed countless groups though. This is the situation, you have to live with it... or you take actions to change it.

Got to 6 last night, and de-leveled. :\
Going to try more. I guess I'm just not leveling in the right spots.
