Hardest boss you've come across.

make a good set of gambits on all your characters, make sure they'll keep haste prot shell on all your chars... i put berserk on vaan and gave him a defender (greatsword with very nice evasion) berserk the flan as you can but with good gambits with cura as your heal will keep your party alive... i was hitting for 3kish a swing, he died fast enough. i find unless your level : plot ratio is low your offensive magic is grossly underpowered at all points really. fira for 2k, even hitting for 1k.... with zerk and haste up you hit like a haste gear nin with dual march, haste, and unji unsho... have to get my memory card from my old house and finish this game ><

It was gamefaqs that helped me get the Final Attack materia in FF7 when the brady guide put it in the wrong area.:nyam:
 
And it was gamefaqs that gave me the idea of getting the zodiac spear pretty early in the game. It was gamefaqs that helped me locate all the elemental dragon gods on Breath of Fire IV. Plus they provide great sources for CAW sites on wrestling games.

zerk it and have 2 people set to constantly cast fire on it and the tank be the healer. its crazy weak to fire and you will rip it apart. i will admit it seems stronger then its lvl indicates. but with that setup, when there was no water elemental nearby, i had no trouble.
 
Did anyone have any trouble with the hunt Pyroclaster? (sp?) That giant dinosaur before the Pharos Tower? I get that thing down to a TICK OF HEALTH EVERYTIME and it manages to kill me.
 
So, like, I was exploring those caves between Westersand and... that one place in the sandsea... and chanced upon this flying boss that spammed Thundara and summoned little Zombie babies.

It was easy enough until he did a move that gave Stop to my whole party.

That sucked.

Yes, he sucked, lots of attack power. Finish him off with a giant quickening chain around 30-40% health, that's what I had to do.

brady guides so fail at really getting everything in and correctly. So many monsters that weren't put in, so many items misspelled or in the wrong area, and they didn't realize you can get ribbons from tonberries (this in regards to FF7's guide, in regards to FF12 they had lots of ??? and such that seemed to be missing out a lot of stuff XD)

Sinhard gave an example. There were times were it was like "this can be found at ???" or "please turn to page ??? to see more" XD
 
Complete pain in the ass too, most of it was involving side-quests and such. For more information on this sidequest turn to the sidequest chapter at page ???. Really Brady has become a joke when it comes to concrete info usually now. And if you doubt me on this I need only remind you of the XI guide.
 
The FFIX guide was horrible when it came to that. And whats worse is it made you go online, rather than tell you in the guide. I bought the guide for help, not so it can tell me to go to a website for more info. Plus when I was playing IX, it was before I had the internet, so it made it that much more aggervating.

Think that was a case of someone writing the guide thinking along the lines of, "I'm not up to that page yet, I'll put in a ??? for now and fill it in later"?

More of hey let's leave it blank so when look at the front of the special edition guide for info they'll be distracted by the judges on the front and forget we just raped them out of $30.
 
Zeromous at level 45-46.

Took a shit ton of items and Inferno, Cataclysm, Ark Blast, Torrent + some whacking to take him down. Real tough battle for me.
 
This game just keeps... going... lol I'm already at around 80 hours, lvl 42-43 party, gotten done most of the rank 4-5 hunts and I feel like I'm only getting started >.> SO many more beasties to kirr and I haven't finished the ascension yet.
 
Yeah this game is increadably long. I'm at 65ish hours lv 52-53 and I'm not really that far in the story. Maybe midway I think. I'm also really behind on my hunts which I've been doing for the past couple of days. Most of that time was lving and making gil.
