Hardest boss you've come across.

After Vaan finishes, immediately bring in a second member to the fight (let's say Fran) to begin their quickening chain. The neat thing about this is even though Vaan has no MP, there is a chance he'll get his shot or two in with the quickening chain.

...
Immediately after they finish, bring in a third person (Let's call Basch) to do their quickening chain, and if you're lucky, Fran and Vaan will join in too.

Can someone explain this to me? I've heard other people hint at this. Is there some way to charge your mist points when you are empty or something?

No.. you're not changing mist points. He's just saying even though you used up all your mp on with one character- bring in another character (not replacing whoever has mist ability/expended mp pool) and start a new quickening chain, you can still link their mist chains regardless one of the 2 is out of mp.

Actually yes there is a way to charge your mist charges. When doing the chain if you pay close attention to what is next to the characters name instead of a Mist ability sometimes the word charge will be in there. If you are fast enough you can charge it and also managed to get off more abilities.

Idk , I fought him straight up and he was killing my party members in 1-2 hits. Theres also a mantis in golmore jungle I think (one of the jungles), that 1 hits (or 4-5k+ hp) unless you evade/block.

edit : binding mantis.

I believe they're in silikawoods. Thats where I've seen regular mantises at. Haven't found the binding mantis yet. Don't know if I want to now after hearing that. But I plan on hunting as much as I can before I get bored of the game. Guess I'll have to do some experimenting with Disma just to see if raise works on it.

Had trouble with those Mandies in some cave i forgot their name >.> evil lil bastards >.>.

The hardest thing I have fought in this game was a surprise BC in the barheim passage. I was wondering around (at lvl 50 mind you) and I got in this area. When the CS started there was this demon like thing and it came accompanied by skelleton warriors. They pWnd my PT after a hard battle, there was nothing I could do...

I forgot the name because it all happened so fast. I have never returned, but one day i will get my revenge.

Ah, Zalhera or w/e the espers name is, first time I wandered there to got slaughtered, but came back prepared.

lol yea, i tried to kill him and got my ass owned. The 2nd time i came in he freaking escaped >.>. 3rd time i kicked his ass in like 2 mins.

Demon Wall.
Fucker -_-

ooo yeah that was a bit of a pain... so many restarts... then i figured i could go through the door.. and fight a much easier battle -.-

Gilgamesh part 2 was a pain in the ass. I actually leveled to a prime number to beat him lol. If none of his lvl # Ownage attacks can hit you he is ALOT easier.

Fenrir was also a beast, his white breath did stupid dmg and stop is nasty. I'm dreading King Behemoth as i heard he hits twice as hard as fenrir and fenrir coudl already kill one of my chars with bubble and prot on if he hit 3 or more times.

Carrot was also a massive pain in the ass...weak ass mob but having to cure status effects every two seconds was annoying as hell and he really threw the entire book of them at you.

darks guide to carrot. step one, sit on one character and dispel him. step two, collect reward

Fafnir, because i fucking FAIL at getting blizzard weather.

Its not hard at all >.> You just zone in a certain pattern

NOW they tell me. Here i was spending an hour zonning in and out of the area, just like popping Gil Snapper -_-

PatternPrz

I had problems with this one too, Marajade. You can force blizzard weather by talking the the Viera who flags it, but when you return, you can't take the most direct path to get there. I forget the names of the areas, but instead of going straight south from Mt. Bur Omisace, you go to the West zone then South to get into the zone you need. After you do that, once you zone in, you should have it.

from
Mt. Bur-Omisace, head to: Freezing Gorge -> Head of the Silverflow ->
Icebound Flow -> Karydine Glacier -> Silverflow's End.
