Has anyone on this game actually met someone they thought to love or w/e and actually went to the next level and went to see them...because me and Yuraraina my g/f for 7 almost 8months now are meeting this Saturday...lol funny how we met on FFXI :oops:

I'm not of the trusting type to fall for someone over a game. That being said I wouldn't be against meeting a group of people for a social gathering. I met my current roomate through my online national car club. I have met several great people through the regional car meets that I have attended.

I used to go to a bunch of social gatherings for a WoT fansite I hung out at, before my FFXI addiction. I made a lot of good friends that way, some of whom I stayed in touch with even after we moved on from the site that brought us together.

Meeting people from the web can be fun, as long as you are careful until you REALLY know someone. Just treat it as you would a blind date- make sure you're meeting in a public place, make sure family/friends know where you're going, have a backup plan to get out if you have to, or bring someone you know and trust. First time I went to meet someone, I brought my husband with, and we met at a pizza place. It turned out to be unecessary precaution that time, but there were other times when I was VERY happy to have other friends with when I met someone. Big, strong friends. Especially with me being a not-unattractive petite female. ;)
 
My boyfriend and I met on the game. :D We're hoping to meet by this summer.

I fell in love with someone on the game. Needless to say I have a bad track record for falling in love with people. Never met him before he broke my heart at least.

Amazingly well :D was alot of fun and we had a blast cant wait to do it again, and trust me she was beautiful she'll be bax on FFXI Tuesday name is Yuraraina if u see her compliment her on how beautiful she is :) thanx all and i cant wait to do it again :cry:
