Has FF XI Changed your opinion of NA or JP?

aye. this is a very good attitude. compare this with america. we have NA players that do the dumbest shit and we cant change them. dont blame all JPs for the idiocracy of others.
 
When I first started the game (third day it was out in US), I was really excited about being able to play with the JP players. A few days after, I wated to go to bastok as lv11 or whatever rdm to meet up with my friends so I ask random JP for escort (kind of hard cause I didn't know about auto-translator at the time). Eventually I get one and I wind up in jeuno. I quickly realised that it looked nothing like bastok on my friend's sceen so I asked multiple times how to get to bastok, if someone would take me, etc. Eventually a JP named Batsumaru started talking to me and gave me a pearl to his LS and escorted me to bastok.

From that moment I loved JP characters. I leveled with a few, talked with many, and bugged the shit out of a bunch of them. Anyways months later I lose my job and can't pay for FFXI for like 8 months. When I get back on I see endless amounts of hate between NA and JP. I tried to get back into my JP LS and they say it's JP only now because they assumed that a person in there was a gil seller and was NA cause he never replied to them =/. Batsumaru was gone at this point because he was too busy with work. I believe his brother Dillon (a kickass taru PLD I believe) is using Batsumaru as a fishing muleish char.



Now as time progresses I run into more and more JP assholes every day that all think they are better than me. I wake up and get on pretty early sometimes and mostly JP are on. It's IMPOSSIBLE to get a JP party. Everyone of those bastards are all "JP only". Do a search for people with exp comments and most of them are JP with "JP party only!" in their comments.

Just the other day I was farming in crawler's nest "Rolanberrys, lizzys, and crawlers (when no partys in the area) and I'm there about an hour or so and a couple of JPs land on top of me and shout something about Crawler NM mine only.. don't kill.. some shit like that. Anyways, I say no it's not only yours but I'm willing to take turns. They tell me to leave constantly and start being assholes. One of them speaks horrible "Engrish" to me saying something like, "You didn't have search comment up so you have to leave. You have to have search comment up. Everyone knows it." I had never heard of anyone doing that before even though it is a good idea but I tell the man I'm sorry and I'll make sure to do that next time but for now we gotta share or fight over it. Anyways this goes on into an arguemeent and he starts with insults and I throw them back. I get threatened to have GM called on me, I run out of rolanberrys, finish a stack of silk and lizzy skins, put my crawler hunter pet where it belongs, and leave.

Shit like this happens all the time to me. While I've met many JPs that are very kewl to me, 90% of them are complete assholes that think they are better than everyone else. Why? Maybe it's because they all have the same colored hair, all have small penises, their country is horribly over populated and they want to take it out on kick ass USA, because their food sucks ass, or maybe that all of their women can't suck a peter without lopping it off with their buck teeth. Either way I've grow to dispise JP like crazy. JP partys are overrated.. all the ones I've been in never got more then 3.5k exp an hour.... I think I'm done -.-

Have you ever told them all this? because that might be part of the reason they hate you, and the rest of us.
 
No.. jappos were constantly making fun of me and doing many annoying thanks CONSTANTLY for many many months before I was lead to hating them. Anyways, no I don't tell jappos those things because I hate hate any individual person until I'm givin reason to. The most angry I ever got at anyone in game was at gil seller named Dahe. I have quite a few Japanese friends that are really kewl and because they are good people that don't think they are any better than anyone else just because of thier nationality.
 
I wouldn't say the game has changed my image of the Japanese, but it has confirmed some things... both good and bad. I'm in an all Japanese LS and when we do stuff together, we always have a blast. Great friends. I won't go into the bad. People are people. I can understand why the Japanese don't wanna party with the NA's (a few bad apples), but it still ticks me off that I rarely get invites with the JP players (since I live in Japan and play on Japan time).

But while we are on the subject the best Engrish i have found is on a film called Future Cops where they say "The pope is leaking"...i just found that amusing :P

Anyway yeah...Die Thread Die! (yes i am a hypocrite...)
