I just cannot stand levelling WAR... so if you see me levelling nin, excuse my shameful subjob level ~_~...it's only temp till i get nin to 41.
 
I hate it too, trust me. But since I already started it as my DRG subjob, and I don't want to start leveling a new subjob from 1, I will have to level WAR for a long time until 37 if I really want to be a level 75 DRG, although I will probably go DRG only until 60 so maybe I will use WAR until 30 and be done with that hell :)
 
Man... I have to get from 30-37 with WAR soon and I AM NOT looking foward to it. I think the only way I will get an invite is to level NIN for sub.

I really don't mind WAR there's just nothing to it. You have Provoke... and Provoke. At least with NIN subbed you can Dual weild after lvl 20. Since I have WAR at 30 already, I can use Tonko, Utsusemi, and all the elemental attacks, so it's not that bad.
 
WAR is a job that gives u alot of options.You can be a DD with dual axes,scythe or Great axe with str and attack stats.Also after the WAR af war can be a great tank if subbed pld or rdm (Havnt tried it yet but i saw a JP tanking with rdm sub).With shield leveled you can block and parry alot of attacks (Need nin to level parry i think) and heal ur self to keep hate.Also a war with dd stats still has berserk and can be a good sub tank with all that enmity u get from AF.
 
WAR is a job that can play lots of roles depending on the sub.On an elvaan WAR with enough accuracy,str and enimity from AF,i used to voke the mob off from the blm after distortion skillchain.Otherwise he had to zone to terrigan after change nad he even lost exp on a mob once.So i wasnt the best DD or tank in the party but i saved some mp and time by tanking and also did good dmg . ^^
 
A WAR/MNK with great axe can be brutal...And a good hate holder.
Just depends on whether or not the person plays their job right, as with any job. There is something I like about a WAR/MNK...No magic, just 100% tank. Kind of cool. Antor was the best WAR/MNK I have partied with. /kneel

/NIN is undeniably cool though.
 
I agree with sneaky. I've been doing some war/nin lately and it is really fun!
 
Its more or less just a sub to a sub... but I had this project in mind of getting NIN past 50 with BLM sub X3

It seems that Sneaky has been spying on my static XD

WAR/MNK all the way. Nin might be cool, but if I wanted to cast magic while tanking, I'd be a Paladin. WAR/MNK does, and takes enough damage, and you've got 15 spammable abilities to gain hate. Plus Double Attack + Counter on a Great Axe is just the best _ever_.

Hey if you get an invite quickly, it's always cool.
I'm just up for taking any chance i can to solo XP, as there really aren't many chances for that.

Well the option is there to solo tll you get an invite... cause people're gonna be skeptic about it.
 
ok as someone who subs BLM I can honestly say I almost never use my "offensive" spells. I use Aspir Drain Frost Warp and Tractor. Not sure hwo useful it would be to a Ninja... THF would probaly be better for SATA... Or Samurai for TP. Cause unless they are eating pies or have MP+ gear they will not have any respectable MP.
 
Leveling Warrior isn't bad. Only part I hate about it is sitting around waiting for a party, and sometimes tanking (this part depends on the mages).
