"Haunted School" - Round 1 (Lots of pictures, heavy on bandwidth)

I was going on a 'quest' to tough out a thorough 'investigation' of an old elementary school. An elementary school that I in fact went to. Lol. But its been shut down for a while now, and its been abandoned... Everything left behind, from TV's to Computers, to books. I was talking to my cousin about going on this 'quest,' and he was interested. Even better for me, because I wouldve been crept shitless if I were alone, which was the original plan. Anyway...

These pictures do no justice to the actual school, namely because.. Well, my camera isnt exactly made for taking night shots. (I should REALLY get one, though.)

Anyway, I did forget to get a pic of the exterior of the school, which I will do again when I go back sometime this week.

First we worked around the building looking for a point of entry... All doors were of course locked, all windows locked as well... So, we kind of give up for the moment, and take a look at what used to be the playground...

Not very creepy at all...

So, nothing very interesting outside... So we go inside the Attendance Office, which was a completely seperate building from the school. Ill also get pictures of it the next time I go. I did get 1 of the inside though. The entire building was cleared out, save a few newspaper clippings on the wall, a couple educational posters, and some insulation ripped from the wall.

Now we move on... We were thinking "Since theres no way into the school... Lets try the basement." It was fenced off, and we thought the door MAY be locked, but eh.. I gave it a shot. I jumped the fenced area, walked down the corroded steps... To find!!

That the door is AJAR! Lucky me. I take a few steps in, and am automatically crept out, like "whoa." The entire time, Im thinking "Silent Hill, Silent Hill..." All I had was a puny flashlight, which lit up only VERY small portions of the room I was currently in. The camera's flash had 30x more light than my flashlight did. I walked into the first room a few steps... First thing I did was look behind the door (lmao) then continued on to the second room. Everything SEEMED clear, so I head back out, and we get our cables and lights to set them up downstairs. All lights were OFF at the time I took the photo's, but it still did not help much...

After we were finished setting up in the basement, we climbed back over the fence, because I wanted to get inside. On our first scouting, we noticed a few broken windows, one of which was really big (but still had a lot of pieces hanging off.) I decided to find a way to get through, even though it was the most dangerous way... It was the only way without breaking a window or door ourselves. So I go get this 12x12 chunk of wood, and set it next to the window.. Climb up and inside, VERY carefully... My cousin was too wimped out to join me, so I get inside, walk VERY slowly because its really quiet... Then I get into the hallway... And theres water running? Thats... weird.

Anyway, I head to the front doors and open them, letting nathaniel inside. We think nothing much of anything atm, other than memories of actually attending the school, lol. We visit out kindergarten room... Desks and TV and everything still in place. Leave this room, and start walking down the LONG DARK hallway... Water running...? Keep walking. The waters coming from the mens bathroom on our right... Odd... We creep up to the doorway and stand there a moment... Then heard this cough/choke sound, NO IDEA WTF IT WAS. We bolted out, lol, running for our cars, I almost tripped on a speed bump... Got in the cars, and sped off leaving everything behind.

And now Im home, finishing this up. We plan to go back during the day time to see what was up, but man... That was scary shit.

This one time I was sleeping in my oldest brother's basement in his house that was built in 1909. The walls were pretty much concrete so there was like no sound coming into the room so the room was dead silent except for the buzzing of the box fan I brought down in there. So I fall asleep it's like 2:30 AM (no clock this kind of freaked me out I'm paranoid about not having a clock in my room for some reason) I hear this sound it scares me shitless then I realize it's his 110lb Rot barking in his sleep.

Now the question is which is scarier the dog or the being woken up by his barking after only one noise for so many hours?

Edit: I mean why the school was closed down. Even I would haul ass out of there if I heard something like that lol.

Actually for some strange reason some of that stuff in the basement looks fairly new. Except for that crapper.

All the more reason to question why they weren't taken with the janitors when they relocated to Expensiver Elementary Academy (which they undoubtedly DID move to).
The place just seems to reek of depression though.

Besides the myths of it being 'haunted,' its a really old school, with really old equipment. SO much crap has happened to it, lol. Been through a lot of disasters and shit.

My guess is, they just didnt think anything was worth taking. The school did relocate, however.

Onry have 3 of em, 2 which you can see. They werent expensive, either, just ~$30 each

Ya I was thinkin the same thing that a Hobo broke in for a place to stay.

Maybe he flipped a switch, but someone would have noticed the place using water at the local watering hole.

Anyways, post moar, I'm a big fan of paranormal phenomenon, I watch Ghost Hunters, A Haunting, and other various shows similar to that, I enjoy the suspense/thrill. It may be something I get involved in personally as well, I know a few places around here that people say is supposedly haunted.

Like people say, it couldve been a hobo, but Im thinking its not... Im thinking its the pipes in the wall, since the water was running (somehow.) If I remember, there WAS a natural well underneath the school, so its not too far fetched that it was running.

But he was always sick so he'd hang out in the bathroom. And he was a trouble maker and always ran the water. And then he drowned? This one time I was sleeping in my oldest brother's basement in his house that was built in 1909.

My house was built in 1890 and I only go down into the basement in the day time and I don’t think I have spent more then 5 minutes down there.

I have a golden retriever and this dog would walk thru fire for me. Where ever I am in my house, my dog is there... He has not and will not go down into the basement of this house... I have lived here for several years now and not once has this dog been down there. It totally freaks me out when he barks at the door to go down there. And no, I don’t open it to see wtf he is barking at.
