*Smn could have easally been given the ward and rage, but no they changed acc to.

Hey I can't help it they always go down this road, because they only have 2 setting black and white. I really tried to avoid bring rdm into I really really did.

SMN is not a hybrid job. It's a situational job. Situation is hate-free high damage skills when doing longer events. There's nothing hybrid about it.

Ok I know this is kind of old and I am sorry was reading this at work and had to post I know this has nothing to do with the topic of the flame

I find that kind of funny when in a party I had to go change from the job I was leveling to dnc to main basicly main heal on dnc with you there as rdm. And yes I already know dnc can not be main healer we do not have raise right so when some one dies we are sol. And as for being invited to a party as 73/74 with two dnc if I am on melee I will take that any day. When I was leveling dnc at those levels I was often the only person in the party with any kind of healing ability at all 5 melee and 1 dnc is fun but 4 melee and 2 dnc that takes half the stress of the dnc's. And this might come as a shock but every party I have had to main heal in as dnc had no problem with it at all and for some reason that all know let the dnc get some tp first so go easy on maybe the first mob or two. But then that might require learning about the job.

Once again sorry about the off topic post also I just read that and had to reply.

Not everyone that plays dancer is a competant player, that party I mentioned I was in was disaster and the one thing that will really slow down a party with no 'real' healer is death, unfortunately they havent come up with a reraise dance as of yet. I will never enter a party as melee with no dedicated healers after that.

This might be a stupid idea and all but reraise earing or scroll maybe. And I was more looking at your statement that dnc can not main heal. last time I checked being able to raise was not a requirement of the main healer just a really big plus. After all people think smn is a main healer from the time they enter the dunes all the way up. But they only get r1 starting at level 50+. So they are not a main healer before 50 then right?

One of the main plus's of having a whm post lv 25 or a rdm post lv 38 is their ability to raise a fallen player, all too often I have seen partys in the jungle or garlage shouting for raises because they went to exp without a person to raise them if trouble happens. I also feel a little sad when I see a Smn main healing, cause they are not getting to play the job the way they hoped to. I've spoken to many Smn's that main heal and the majority of them would rather not fill in for a whm, some do cause its better than no exp at all.

I guess thats why PL are so popular these days because then you can make a party of all melees and forget about including a mage. Thus the party gets nice fast exp.

Yes you can use a rr scroll or a rr earring but that doesnt replace the need for a dedicated healer that can do the job too and heal/buff the party etc. In conclusion I am not arguing that dancers cannot main heal somehow, I'm sure their are some that are truely amazing in what they do, the ones I had in my party that time could not, and there have been other encounters too I have had with this job.

I simply stated that I myself will not enter a party comprising of only Dancers as main heal. Just my tastes that is all.
 
DNC's can main heal but only in pairs. Thing is, like it was said on the above posts, no raise. DNC are great backup healers though for when the whm needs to rest or if the rdm has his/her hands full with something else. I staticed with some friends and my wife on my dnc and we were pulling mad chains because i would switch to main heal while my friend Confused (on whm) would rest her MP. Simply put, dnc adds an awesome amount of healing power for those wierd situations no?
