Why it is that when you die, you have no access to your menu? I was thinking about this the other day because a friend in LS had asked me to search a zone to see if there was anyone that could raise in the area after they had been KO'ed.
My only guess is that they are trying to make your "death" be as realistic as possible, but there is so much in this game that doesn't necessarily follow with what is real and so I don't understand why SE implemented this, other than to annoy players.
Same thing with the moghouse. If you return to your nation, and you haven't talked to the NPC outside... when you enter, your moogle will not be there. However if you go to any other city (and your moogle was last set to be in another city) you won't be able to enter without speaking to the NPC, because you're booted back outside right away when you try to enter.
I was just curious as why SE created these unimportant "designs" (for lack of a better term). I don't think it makes the game feel more real, if anything I find it to be more frustrating because in the first scenario, you are forced to 1)Home Point 2)Send a /tell or ask in LS to see if anyone can help you find a raise in the area 3)Wait around for someone who might pass by and raise you. And for the second situation, if you forget that your "moogle" was set to a different city than your home nation and you enter... you get to waste time by exiting and talking to the NPC to enter again and have it there waiting.
