Came back for about 12 hours back in August but it didnt work out. Either im completely over FFXI or I need WotG to get me interested again. In the meantime i've pimped out Nicolette's account to a friend who is starting to play - so if you see me around it's probably not me. AFAIK they dont intend to use Nico at all, as the two new players are the bash 'em slash 'em type rpg'ers not casters like all the true greats. I'll try to say hi to people more often now that the accounts active but unless tarus look FANTASTIC in dancer gear or something similarly compelling happens ill stick to moping around the intarweb watching caturday videos and waiting for SPORE to be released.

P.S. Once I know ppl's character names ill post em here - if nothing else it'll keep me from having to see their names on the gilseller list.

Update: they made a thf and a mnk. Dido and Sychaeus (sp) respectively. If you see em around lend a hand. The names are from the greek tragedy The Aeneid in case anyone cares.
P.P.S Do I need to get a WP for the friend with the new account or is that done away with?

Got one of em a gold WP - kinda lame that it only goes toward main char but if they play long enough at least Nico gets a prize. :)

Yknow sometimes it bugs me that of the 2 years plus I spent playing this dumb game, Being the first blu serverwide, getting all elitist about CoP and late missions and trying to organize "First" groups for stuff like First NA group to beat Apocalypse Nigh, First Diabolos win, First Uberprimes (NA) success etc as well as having helped hundreds and hundreds of people in all sorts of little ways.... that im usually unknown or confused with Nicholette.

Another thing to keep me from coming back to play at least.

But at least Lavi (who i've known from literally day 2) Kizaryo, falseprophet maurinendalorin and Flamey always greet me when I do pop in. It gives me the warm fuzzies. And I love you guys.

Guess thats part of the reason ive gotten people I actually know IRL to start playing. Though what happens when I decide to play again and my friend's character is on my account is beyond me.

Anyone else ever feel that way?

Neo! - Meh I saw you at Whitegate AH while I was selling off random stuff I still had in mog storage to support my newb friends. You were afk though.

And falsey apparently plvld (thank you falsey) my friends for a bit while telling them I was a noob.

pps, saw the new mobs for the expansion... evil ladybugs?

I feel that way alot it seems. I've been around sense day 1 of the PS2 release, and the only people who know me are a select few. I've done alot, and I'm a pretty damned good BLM.. but I'm not the most famous one, even though I wanted to be at one point. I come to find myself asking the same question: "Why play?" I found my answer, you'll just have to find yours. That's how it is, unfortunitly.

You know, I'm not on enough, and when I do see you pop up on my friend list I smile a bit. You always seemed to be around when I needed you, though you never probably noticed. When I needed help being a good Summoner, When I was first going thru the CoP, and you where even there to cheer me on before the final battle. I've always considered you someone I enjoyed talking and playing with. You're the oldest person on my Friendlist, I've always looked up to you, you being the first of many things, you where also my first tarutaru friend.. People called you "The Queen of Promyvian" for a reason, you know. You're not just a great player, you're a great friend. If you come back, that would be great to randomly go on adventures. If you don't, who knows - maybe we'll meet again in another world in a different place at another time.

And when I say I want to go on adventures.. I don't want you do to something with me you've already done. >.> I want to go do something challenging and surprising for the both of us!

I hear ya, the game is retarded. I go in and out, rite now im out, but im sure ill be back in no time. I think it follows the trend of, real life sucks-->game life rocks, real life rocks--> game life sucks. I am in the latter of the two atm :/ lol see ya around!

Nich, I dont know if you remember me or not, lol but you were the very first person I met on FFXI almost 2 yrs ago. You were so nice to me, even loaned me your fishing gear, and a pole and bait so I could make some gil. lol I will never forget your kindness and helpfulness! You take care!!!! *hugs*:nyam:

I actually think you are still pretty well known Nico. I hear your name come up here and there and always you are spoken of with praise and admiration. I see you as a hero of mine in this game and I hope I am doing you proud... I think you raised me right ;)
 
Oh that reminds me - Nicholette theres an Einherjar last saturday, some guy who spoke to you a week ago would like to know if youre coming :) Glad to hear though, i've liked seeing you hit 75 blu and run a sea-shell. I call you my twin to the people that confuse us, hope you dont mind.

To everyone else: I love you guys too. Have a happy holidays, say hi to me once in awhile - im levelling dnc so I might actually be getting sucked back into this thing.
