Haven't Played FFXI in a LONG Time and was wondering...

Hi all, sorry if this is a dumb question but I have not played FFXI in a LONG time, and I was wondering about Changes to the Game since I quit. More Specifically: are the Level Cap Quests still in the Game? IE at 50th, 55 etc.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
 
Yes they're still there.

I don't know how long since you've been outta the game for, but the level cap is now 75.
 
more ways to earn exp while bored or not in a pt. We just had huge deflation so everything is at the prices of 2 years ago.
Tons of questable items and ex stuff that can be classified as useful exp gear.
still gotta buy stuff but not as much as before.
 
The rules of exp partying have been turned on their head since you last played. Job types have splintered off into separate camps that rarely intermingle. Melees that use utsusemi have TP-Burn parties where they run around spamming weaponskills and generally chain less than IT mobs nigh infinitely. Black Mages gather together in manaburn parties where they use their spike damage to kill exp mobs in one volley, for chains less than TP burns, but still better than any normal party. The leftovers either try to be a desperation replacement in one of the above, or struggle forming a balanced party. The only common job amongst them are refresher/support jobs like Bard and Rdm.
