Hay thar GM ( 56k User Beware )

our gms fucking suck balls

If you guys think you can do better, apply. Quit being ignorant on what entails in their work. It requires a lot more than you think, which is obviously quite little. They can't just appear, declare someones cheating, and ban them on the spot. So quit being whiney emos about it.

Perfectly understandable that their jobs can be difficult, but what could they possibly get out of waiting to investigate something happening at that very moment? Granted bots is one of the more difficult things to pick up since the person could just be doing something and not responding, regardless of who talks to them, but even crap like 30-minute stalls, obvious fleehacks (i.e. unnamed NIN having Rapido on /follow for over 1h) and warptools is usually just tossed a "we'll investigate later" even though a simple 10s of investigation at that moment would give the GM more than enough evidence to toss some of these guys in jail. What benefit could GMs possibly get out of investigating later rather than now?

Although I think they do a fine job (given I've done similar work and understand the position they're in), don't you have to live in California to be a GM? I don't feel like moving to the west coast, really, nor would I like to quit school for the job.

EDIT: It'd probably be a good idea to read the whole thread next time. Someone already mentioned this... actually, several people have. Sorry. : /

[GM]Dave has destroyed a generation of people who think GMs really are like that.

Yeah, gotta love how they say they'll look into crap when it's going on at that very moment. Wouldn't that be neat if that's how it worked IRL?
"Hello, Manhatten Police Dept." "Yeah, there's...there's a man being beaten by three guys with bats!" "We'll look into it shortly." "He's really in danger! Please!" "We'll look into it and act once we have substantial evidence" "They're right outside your building! Just look out the f-!king window!" "Look buddy, I don't tell you how to do your job, you don't tell us how to do ours. Any more lip and I'll have to run you in."

You ever been told how to do your job before? I got told i should use VM once, when 32bit was better. Dam noobs know nothing about packet sniffers.

A GM is basically just a Customer Service Rep at a big store. They are there to deal with minor customer complaints.

Every one of you who complains about them not doing anything just need to relax. Shit will get done when it gets done. These are people working a job. All of us with jobs slack off once in a while. It's no big deal.

I kinda feel bad for the GMs. While when one of us slacks off at work, nothing happens. When a GM slacks off, he gets hundreds of totally original smart asses telling him how much he sucks.

So there were a few fish bots, so what? You reported it and they said they'd look into it. Its just like dealing with any low-level employee anywhere. Sometimes it gets done right away, sometimes it takes a little while. And if you've ever worked in Customer Service, you know that having someone call you a 'lazy ass fuck' isn't gonna make you want to do it any faster.

read the tos, they can send you a tell and then ban you for any reason they feel like. I have a feeling company policy isn't too fond of losing that money though. i believe it says they can ban anyone they want at any time for any reason with prior warning. prior warning, arguably could be a fast warp to jail, and a "you're banned."
