Haze Video

man Graphic whores are awesome! :P sure it's not up to par entirely but who gives a shit? it still looks pretty damn good >.> bah... the gameplay will prolly be fun which is all I care about and since it is made by the people who made Goldeneye and that game was awesome, I can imagine this game being awesome. However since there are so many FPS as of late I might just rent it first to see if I would wanna play it again through at any later point

This is exactly when graphics are very important to me.
Over populated game genre for one. The gameplay has not one thing new to it. The weapons look dumb as shit with yellow stickers all over. Multiplayer and Coop we can call common. Why wouldnt you expect them to visualy push the game if all these other things are true? I like Turok, i like Frontlines, i like Blacksite... terrible games but i still like fps' too much and i am sure i would like Haze. I am just not impressed in any way what so ever with what i have seen.

PS: I get to enjoy Crysis looking that beautifull on my pc Fire =D

I do.

Also same company =/= same quality and or goodness. I mean just look at SE they made FFVII and then they made FFXI and we all know how that turned out...

I concur. In a genre that has a new game every month, you need something that gives it flair. If you can't think of something new, at least make it look pretty. Personally, I am getting sick of the FPS.

Don't get exactly what you mean here?

Squares quality has slumped alot in terms of game value but they are visual whores themselves. Almost on every system they push the envelope with amazing cinematics.

Has the publisher of Haze released any demos other then these clips?

In all fairness, games like Turok, Frontlines and Blacksite have bad gameplay. At least Haze is looking to have good gameplay, and in the same vein as Halo and Resistance type of gameplay, which is something we haven't had since Halo 3. Also isn't coming out against much FPS competition. Still, it should look better than it does because it's 2008 and it's a pretty big game. I will most likely enjoy it regardless, but reality is reality and those visuals are very weak.

We'll see though, maybe it'll be so much freaking fun nobody will care. We can hope based on the devs but that's all we're gonna be going off on.

And by the way, I think the whole Nectar is just as innovative as any other FPS that's come out this gen, meaning.. not very, but somehow Haze is the only guy that takes heat for it. Why? I dunno. Cause it's PS3 exclusive? I mean come on, Rainbow 6, Halo, COD4, Resistance... these are great games, but not particularly innovative. Nobody says, "man COD4 is fun but it's not innovative enough!" I'd say fuck you, if you want innovative go play Cooking mama while I play something fun instead.

I have to disagree, I know youre talking about 360 turok, but I just gotta say...

Turok 1, 2 and Rage Wars (yeah, I left 3, Evolution and 360 out) were some of the greatest FPS's Ive ever played, plus 2 and Rage Wars offered awesome multiplayer. Rage Wars functioned kind of like an XBL game, but for N64. If it wasnt goldeneye or perfect dark, it was Turok.

We dont really need innovation... We need past games to stick to their same formula.. Dont try to make an old franchise new by adding little gimmicks. If you wanna innovate, I say make a new game. Dont ruin old ones!

The demo is up in the Europe store.

I dun think there's a US demo lol

I dont get why they do region based demo releases its so bullshit. Although i just made a UK PSN and am DLing it anyway, its still a pain in the ass.

You can wait for tomorrows US update and just get the demo then.

How is it? Been too busy playing GTA to download it.

Same. I have it dled and installed, just havent turned my PS3 on since i got it installed, ill check it out when i get home from college in a few hours.

Demo is short but it overcomes it with a 4 player multiplayer co-op of the same Single-player mission. Graphics-wise its great. All in all its like Halo in PS3.
Also can move the camera during cut-scenes. I'm kinda mad that there's no map or radar, made it kind of confusing when I was finishing the mission. Didn't know that the Extraction point was fucking behind me.

That acting by that pilot at the end was rather poor in my opinion.

Over-all its a good Halo counterpart but still holding judgment since I didn't have problems when I first started playing Halo with the xbox controller but I had some problems with the DS3. But that's just probably me.

I don't have a wide experience when it come to shooters. All I can comment is that it plays smooth, graphics look fine to me, the story presented in the demo is sparse but then again it is a short demo but you can see the storyline they are trying to setup. All in all it seems like it will be a game that does nothing that will be deemed "the best" but does everything well.

I don't think it felt to much like halo though, no 10 feet high jumps at least, and the nectar is pretty interesting. It'll be cool to see how that turns out and how as a rebel you can use nectar to your advantage. The graphics were pretty good i thought, and there kind of is a radar, up at the top of the screen theres like a 5 circle deal under the compass that shows you where to go. Also I like the voice acting with the fellow mantel soldiers how like Roided up they seemed, but I agree the part with the pilot was pretty shitty. The pauses in between were way to long. Overall i like the demo though and will more than likely be picking this up when it comes out.

What I meant by the Halo is the design, the feel, well certainly there are no high jumps. The feel is no CoD too. I mean the first gun had similarities with Chief's gun but we'll see. I might just be comparing it to Halo since that's the other huge Sci-fi fps out there other than Resistance but Resistance has that World War feel to it.

And oh yea at that radar, forgot to mention I saw that thing at the end. Guess, I was just frustrated a bit lol.
