I picked up this game. I must say, a lot of fun. I love the six-axis control of the arrows, cannonballs, thrown objects and shit. I have one problem with the game. It's a game that you can beat in 6-7 hours. At the same time, I never died throughout the entire game. Needless to say, it wasn't all that challenging. Great story though. Considering it's 60 bucks... wtf am I paying $10 per hour to play a video game for? My rating: Rent this game from wherever. You can easily beat this fast and move on to the next game. For me, that's Lair though that's been disappointing thus far. Halo 3 thankfully comes out soon, and who knows. Maybe I'll actually level on FFXI after the disappointing $120 I spent yesterday.

Yeah, I already finished the game. Luckily I got it for free from a friend who went to the GameStop conference in Las Vegas earlier this week.

The game is an amazing experience. I had alot of fun... Sadly it was so damn short. Nothing new here either. The game deserves the low reviews it got because of many reasons but it was fun. For sure a great rental.

If this game had a few more hours of gameplay, I could see this being a great game. The Sixaxis control of the arrows and cannonballs and projectiles was pretty damn cool. My favorite part was definitely playing as Kai protecting Shen as he was walking down the bridge. The controls were much better than Lair in terms of sensitivity and overall feel of the tilt capabilities. Playing as Norkio or however the hell you spell her name was alright, switching seamlessly between the different stances, but there was a lack of variety in enemies, each type only getting slight upgrades over the previous ones.

Definitely worth a rental and not a purchase.

EDIT: One more thing. The voice acting was pretty damn cool in this game. The King had an amazing voice actor, and the way his lines came across were pretty wicked. General Fox got a little on my nerves, but very unique and came across like the character he was made out to be.

I believe this is the reason i like the game so much. The scenes were great... I enjoyed each one and hope other devs copy whatever was done here lol. Honestly the visuals throughout the game are not all that. Its very linear and so small the areas you explore. Sure the backdrops look great but whatever. I like that the game is bright... Refreshing after playing so many grey games lol.

they need to remake all the Soul Reaver games <3 they're all so awesome.

And ya, I wasn't really expecting this to be the big "ZOMG MOST UBER THING EVER" like people were thinking (or the hype was being made about it). I think a lot of games these days (on all systems) are getting overly hyped and disappointing.

Yeah, but backdrops were amazing, but the small areas we were allowed to explore were very ... small lol Don't get me wrong, they were incredibly detailed and basically any type of furniture or weapon could be picked up and thrown and all the food and stuff could be swiped with the range attacks and thrown at the enemies, but the areas should have been bigger with a little more free roam to it. If they made it less mission/chapter based and allowed free roam between the territories with missions where you could just fight guys over and over again on different terrains, that would be better. It would add length to the game, as well as open up ways to do mini sidequests, like getting certain combos or something like that.

Yeah, I beat the game in nearly one setting. Great game but since it has no replay value (hard mode doesn't cut it) it's a little dissapointing. Hopefully there will be sizable downloadable content coming. I would still recomend buying though. The PS3 needs a game that actually sells a decent number of units, lol.

The whole game is like one big cutscene. The gameplay looks so good that it beats most CG out there. In terms of gameplay, I think the controls were great and the engine was great. Is this game the greatest thing to touch my hands? Naw, but between this and Ninja Gaiden Sigma I'm satisfied until I eventually have to get a 360 for NG2.(Never cared for Devil May Cry.)

For me the fact that playing as Kai was much more fun then Nairiko... Made the game kinda meh lol. But when i do replay the game, which i am about every other day atm. I play only the kai missions lol.

I started playing it yesterday. After hearing how short it is, I've decided to pace myself, to make the game feel longer.

I didn't know the shooting was motion controlled, and when i first started the "cannon-vs-catapults" level, I was hitting the ground for a full minute before I figured out what was going on. I managed to get the hang of it, and still pulled off a win, despite losing time in the beginning. (Had 3 seconds left when the final one went down.)

As for the little girl with the gun? I sucked at the mission. I think eleven guys got past me, which i didn't really mind, because Nariko's (that's her name, right?) combat is so awesome.

I like picking up dead bodies and using the motion sensing throw to make them hit incoming enemies.

You can turn the tilt of the projectiles off if you want if you find yourself sucking at it. Then you can just use the joysticks.

Oh, I didn't know that. Maybe I should read the manual.

I got a little better with it by the time I stopped playing. My only problem is it hinders my "relaxed" pose while playing, and I find myself more in my "leaning forward" pose, which is usually reserved for FPS.

I finished the game Saturday.

Bohan = my new favorite villain. The facial expressions, the voice acting, the "sacred genitals," this guy had it all.

The last few levels were pretty cool. The one w/the rocket launcher, where you have to take out five hundred guys was my favorite. I fired one rocket, killed about fifty guys, and said "fuck it" and charged into battle. It took forever, but it was fun as hell finally using all those combos I had unlocked.

The game was absolutely beautiful, except for the hair. There were parts during the cutscenes where the hair looked angular and jumpy, and I think it really hurt the overall presentation of the game.

Anybody else notice this?

I thought the hair was cool, but that's just me.

Really hard for me to have any complaints about this game...

Great gameplay. By far the best non-RPG story in any game period, and by far the best presentation of any game period. The length is disappointing but to be honest I've gotten more game play out of it than many longer, worse games. For example, let's say it took me around 7 hours(kinda guessing), well I put about 4 hours into The Darkness before getting bored and shelving it forever.

And that cable car level with Kai... just absolutely perfect. This game is worth owning to do that for 10 minutes every weekend.

I just think that with the way the rest of the game looked, the hair would look better.

Not during the levels, but during the cutscenes in between them. Nariko's hair seemed jumpy and the front just looked like it was bent.
