Or join a japanese party and say "Konnichiwa!" or "Hajimemashite!".
Or join an english party and say "Hello!" or "Nice to meet you!"

2 phrases isn't alot to learn and you'll get even a little amount of respect from your japanese peers from trying to embrace their language, and indeed their culture.
 
I have made the "Helldive" mistake a couple of times now. >.<
I crack up when my friends do it on accident.

One time I think it almost offended a Japanese player once whom I partied with. Or at least I think it confused him. lol
