BTW Devi,
How are you able to keep such a clear, crisp sig at that size, AND
under 50k?

My goal is too make a sig with your lvl of detail and design (with a feudal Japan flair) and be able to keep it at that size. The first 2 i did, I actually sized comparitively to your old one :wink:

What can I say, My fast net connection has spoiled me and I love large sigs. ^^

But yeah. I've noticed that about your avatars. Youve always had some type of Japanese theme going on.

How do I do it? I play around with graphics alot and fansub anime, so I know plenty of tricks...

My most recent wallpaper (Scroll up for the link) is a definite sign of that... I even went to the troble of moving the light sources on the characters... So it looks like the light from the sunset in the background is actually shining off the characters' faces.

But whenever I'm making a sig...

First, what I do is I go to http://www.1001fonts.com/ and I leech the HELL out of them...

Install all the fonts... Then I open up Ulead PhotoImpact XL ... (People ask why I don't use Photoshop... It's not very user-friendly... I might later, though.) and I make the image and save it as a .BMP.

I re-open it, then save it over again as a JPG...

Photoimpact has an option to where I can lower the quality of the picture and select a "Target File Size"... I enter 48kb, and it usually comes out as about 50kb even.

And that's how ya do it. =D
