Greetings, my name is Oryon, I started playing FFXI yestderday.
I first decided to buy and play the game after reading a blog of someone who was playing the game, having previously played only one other online rpg, Ragnarok Online it proceeded to being mundane, and then stopped working comlpletely on my computer, also it wasnt worth the money I was paying into it. So, that also I went to my local Game store and traded in some old PSP games to get FFXI The Vana'diel Collection with, Rise of Zilart and Chains of Promathia.
The only evil was when I installed it, it took 3 hours before I could finally run the game due to updates and registering etc and the game didnt work. So, I hissed and started cussing then went off to chill out, when I came back I updated the drivers for my motherboard and Graphics card, then woot! it worked. Ive been trawling through some guides and watching what others do, but I wasted 4 hours of my first time running about looking for that person to trade my coupon, untill a guide told me I didnt have to! XD so went outside and started bashing defenceless bunnies.
Id always loved the look of Elvaans, and wasnt sure what to start out as, so I picked Warrior, after getting him to level 6 switched to Blackmage and died of mundaness as I got that to level 4 then considered getting a little higher leveled to get a decent BLM weapon before leveling it up again. So, im running around in the buff smiting Wild Rabbits..like the newbie I am.
