Help! FFXI wont launch.

"Failed to Initalize Direct3D" I got that when i tried to play FFXI. This never happend before, and I just switched Monitors for my computer because i broke my other one. I looked it up everywhere, anyone know the problem?

Update your DirectX and see what happens.

i also had this happen the first time i got ffxi, if updating direct x doesnt work try this

1) Right click on desktop and select properties
2) Click on the settings tab across the top bar
3) Go down towards the bottom of the box under the colors bar, and hit advanced
4) When the new window pops up, select the troubleshoot tab across the top
5) You should see a slider that has none on the far left, and full on the far right. If thingy isnt all the way to the right, move it all the way over there, and then try starting ffxi
