So...I was heading thru W. Ronf last night on the way to meet up with my static in the Dunes. I pass by a mage fighting a sheep. As I'm running by it does Sheep Song...Oh just fuckin great...I'm asleep. When she's done fighting the sheep I /say zzzzz thinking she might toss me a cure to wake me. NOOOOOO she goes running off after a mesmerizer. I send her a /tell "Excuse me...your sheep put me sleep. Could you please cast cure on me?" Nothing...not even a "go to hell!" Maybe this is just a petty thing...but I was already running late to meet my static and all it would've taken was a couple of seconds of her time...stupid bitch! funny thing is that later that night we were in the dunes and taking on a sheep. Some guy goes RIGHT thru the middle of the fight?? and gets hit by the AOE...lol I of course cured him...AFTER the fight ;)
 
i was on a chocobo and ran past a sheep, why does it do its ws when people run by!? damn it...
so i fell asleep on my chocobo, and the dude was like
"Damn, that sucks"
I was asleep for 5 minutes!!!?!!?!!?!
 
Kurgon is a professional sleep griefer. He constantly fights sheep in Konschat Highlands, and somehow finds a way to make sure it always does is Sheep Song right as people pass by. EVIL!!! EVIL I TELL YOU!!!
 
I'm evil. It's true. In one day of fighting sheep probably 8 people were put to sleep while running past me. I always apologized and stayed next to them incase something agro'd them that they couldn't handle and once they were awake we'd part ways. It does seem to happen a lot though.
 
I think this is the worst glitch in the game. SE needs to do something to make AoE sleep spells only effect the person/party fighting it.
 
actualy, most AOE dont hit others, just the sleep ones, and a droped gobbie bomb. most, such as the Cursed Sphere, just hit the party fighting it
 
A lot of people are probably unaware that casting "cure" on a sleeping person will wake them.

I myself didn't know this until you (Kiere) pointed it out to me during our sheep battle the other night. But then I never had a job with any magic until I got this Pld.
 
Aww Kierre, that sucks. I know how annoying it is to be running late for a party appointment. (and even waiting for someone sucks too).

This happens OH SO MUCH in the freakin jungle with the confined spaces and the wonderful choice of Mandys to exp off of. I don't mind it oh so much when I'm randomly walking by another player and I get slept, that's not that bad. It'd be nice if they did wake me up.... I really get mad (although not much you can do about it) when there is another party like right on my ass in the jungle and their mandy sleeps me. That really bothers me.

As much as I hate AoE sleep, it does add some realism to the game since it is an Area of Effect spell. At least it's not that harmful. I try to wake people up when I can if I see them sleeping on the job...hehe
 
As a regular puller in the Jungle, I had to traverse multiple camps at times in order to bring the exp meat home. Imagine that, going through 4-5 other camps all lined up, running a chance to get slept, or even bombed (1st pt on the way was doing mandies and gobbies) as I tried to clear a path through the groups, trying to keep my distance from the mob so it wouldn't clear me of half my HPs before our WHM had the time to slap a Cure II on me.

At least it was more the exception than the rule, and it was funny seeing that mandy slapping at me like crazy, taking out my shadow images, until it finally ate through them all and we were off again, jogging to the slaughterhouse.

On another note, I've had a rocking party with Faedryth in Yuhtunga Jungle... So rocking another PT who were eyeing us got jealous and wanted to oust us. What did they do? They engaged a mandy over our mages while we were tackling a gobby. That was after we asked them politely to not stand in the middle of our group. Faedryth was enraged as he wasn't able to move freely about to do his bardic duties. I got their names down, that's for sure.

That's sometimes true. As a whm I once passed someone on Vomp Hill who was asleep and they asked if I had "Sleepna". I replied yes and cured him, and told him that sleepna=cure.

Wow...you know me so well already! Yes..the thought absolutely occured to me that she *Might* be Japanese..that would be why I used auto translate for what I could. Second of all...she had cure...I saw her using it on herself while she was fighting the damn sheep...and finally...I thought this board was for getting pissed off? =p

P.S. Don't read too much into what you see typed somewhere. ;) It's not like I /em slapped her or anything..lmao

P.S. - Yea this is a flame board, I was kinda pissed off at the time of my reply, (Qufim Parties >.<)... nothing personal ^^
