anyone know a site or any info for fastest way/cheapest way to get 60 crafts in cloth and leather? maybe higher learth or cloth? plz gimmie info

thx

I hope Laur sees this Black and decides to give you a hand. He helped me immensely with finding info and sites while leveling cooking.

For my crafting needs I used these 2 sites for info.

Personal Favorite(geared towards the crafter who looks for a way to lvl):

KillingIfrit
http://killingifrit.com/list.php?c=guilds

Second Favorite(gives the crafter some info based off of others within that craft):

Allakhazam
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=24&mid=1099683569336311184&num=61

These sites give very good information for any and all crafts. I am in the woodworking, cloth, bone, and alchemy guilds.

Crafts/lvls:
Wood - 60
Cloth - 30
Bone - 30
Alch - 19

I use the two that dark put in his post along with these two to find recipes, search for vendors and to learn where and how items drop.

As far as the fastest, easiest way to level a craft...you pretty much have to figure that out yourself depending on the price of materials. It could very well be different from when some of the guides are written.

/offended.

I'm alittle insulted by Kat's omiting me from the above statement.

Personally, Mysterytour is what i use for most of my crafting goodness, since they organize their recipes very neatly. Somepage is probably the most comprehensive site i use. If you need 1 on 1 help just look me up in game B.Magik. Char Name is Equinoxs :)

Crafts/lvls:
gold - 61
bone - 60
alchemy - 60
wood - 59.8
cloth - 56
leather - 40
smithing - 35

OMG Eq, I am truly sorry  !!!! I just don't think about all your other stuff. YOU, my very dear friend, are the MASTER Goldsmither to me  .

When I think of cloth craft I think of Laur, the Master Cloth Crafter :D .

The alla guide is either a POS or realy outdated, not sure which.

I find ffxi.somepage.com to be much more accurate then Alla for craft recipes.

It is also updated much faster. Links to NPC vendors as well, so pretty much quick and easy to use.

The best way to do it is to join my crafting linkshell 8) . That way you have access to a large group of crafters.

Such ends my shameless plug.

Get synth support whenever you can. There are some heavy stretches here, and some fail a lot, but you will lose minimal monies.

There.
This is the route I took.

Yeah, silk is expensive-- as I'm not at that stage... but if you can make the money specifically to buy the thread to make into cloth, it shouldnt take that much money... although you wont make any additional money ;.;

-Ham

Silk is an odd thing...

There is a dynamic called Opretunity Cost.

I could farm Item 'a' for three hours and achieve x amount of item a.
I could farm Item 'b' for three hours and achieve enough money to buy Item a.

Now is it better to Farm Item a? Or to farm Item b to buy item a?

Example:
Beetle Jaws, 20,000 G/Stk.
1 Stack With Treasure hunter II takes roughly 1-2 hours to attain. (10,000 G/hr.)

Or I can mine for 40,000 G/hr.

Silk threads are an item that is exceptionally worth your while to farm. Instead of looking at the cost of your craft look at it's income potential.

You get 12 threads in an hour, you just got about ~0.1-0.2 skillups, and 20,000 G. And that's a worst case scenario.

I think you need to revise your cost for Cloth to 60 then Phraust, to 100,000 gil + several hours to level thf to 45 + several hours farming silk.
