Help me please!!!!!

I'm having alot of trouble with FFxi. I'm currently having to use dial up until the end of the week, so thats a big problem but would still like to play so this is whats going on. I keep trying to log in using windower, I get to where it would normally go full-screen and i get a msn error asking if i want to send error report or not and then FF shutsdown. Then I tryed logging in without windower and I get to place where it goes full-screen and I get an error saying FF cant access direct 3-d or something like that and tells me to check to make sure pc has proper config. Anyone know wth is up? O btw the direct 3-d has been happening a while but windower part is new.

Upgrade your drivers or something.

For the windower problem, check the Init.txt file inside the scripts folder. Check to see if the Recast plugin is automatically loading upon logon.

This is my Init.txt plugin section, no problems whatsoever.

//Load plugins -- Remove the // from plugins you want to have autoloaded
//load Distance
//load IME
//load BloodPace
//load Recast
load Priority

I get that DirectX message when I have 2048 x 2048 resolution while trying to use multiple characters. I can logon two accounts without problems, but logging onto a third account gives me the DirectX error.

To remedy it, I toned my graphics down to 512x512 and now I can use three without any problems.

Are you using Windower 3.3? If so, go into the Windower-3.3 folder and then go into the Scripts folder. Double click the Init.txt and make sure it says //load Recast in the plugins section. This will disable the Recast Plugin, which isn't working since the WoTG update.

For changing your resolution, goto the FFXI Config and select either 512x512 or 1024x1024.

If none of that works, I can't really help you. :/

Thanks Dowzer that worked and i was able to get on np although with dial up it really sucks^^ gonna have to just take it easy till i get broadband back in a couple of days. If anyone knows why I'm getting the Direct 3-D error please let me know. Again it comes up when FF tryes to go into full screen mode.
