Help on Stategy for CoP 5-3 Mithra Fight

I think we've finally come up witha good strategy for beating the Mithra's in CoP 5-3, but Id like your feedback.

Our pt setup is:

PLD
WAR
WHM
SMN
BLM
RDM

the Battle plan:

Step 1. - the setup
The usual Buffs. Whm rests to full. Everyone uses reraise earring

Step 2. - Gathering hate
Pld rushes in, uses Icarus wing, circle blades, and invincibles. Secures hate from all the Mithra and there pets on him.

Step 3. - First blood
Smn 2-hours the avatar of the day, and BLm uses ES sleepga moments later.

Step 4. - one man(woman) down
Unload 2 hours on Shakaree Z (Drg/Whm). RDM Chainspells and nukes, War uses Icarus Wing and WS, blm manafonts or uses a AM. Everything it takes to kill this cat.

Step 5. - the pesty pets
Now while the others remain sleeping take out the rabbit and wyvern.

Step 6. - Second Blood
Now the Smn should be about ready for another Blood pact.
Everone gathers together hate management is cruel with these ladies.
Smn and BLM coordinate BP and Sleep, Rdm and whm backup slppe incase it doesnt stick

Step 7. - Run Away
Move Camp away from where the mithra party started so if there is a wipe we can pop back up w/o aggro.

Step 8. - Bye Bye X
Goal is to kill Shakaree X(bst/nin). Use whatever means you have left. WAR 2 hr, and WS, AM and RDM nukes. Possible last SMN BP. Keep Shakaree Y asleep.

Step 9. I'm alive, I'm alive.
Standard pt kill on the 'Y' Mithra. Just stay alive. Rdm Converts and helps heal, Whm takes Ethers and Benes if need be.

Option:
Instead of war, I can go as PLD for an extra Invincible, but that leaves us with little or no melee dmg.

1.: Good enough.

2.: Remember they spam WS, so your PLD really have to be fast on doing all theese things you mention, or just go in and 2hr.

3.: Yep, SMN 2hr right away.

4.: Sleepga is good after that, but already after the 1st BP, they should be waaaay down in HP. I'm talking 55-60%. Sleepga, and take 1 if you want.
Save your 2hrs and wait for the SMN 2nd BP if your PLD can handle it.

5.: Forget the pets at this time. They are already dead from 1st BP.

6.: 2nd BP might kill 1 of the cats at this point, otherwise they will not have much HP left after this.

7.: No need to run away. Sleep 1 or 2 if you need, but at this time, you'll probably want to use remaining 2hrs and kill them as fast as possible.

8.: At this point, I think you would have won. If the BLM manafont and uses -ga and the SMN get lucky and pull off another BP, you win.


I did this as PLD, SMN, RDM, 3x BLM. We were stunned at how fast they got down in HP from the 1st BP, wich was Garuda's. An ES+sleepga managed to sleep them, but not for long. So the PLD 2hred after the 1st BP. For some reason, Garuda didnt take much dmg from them.
Around 50%, the 3 BLM's, 2hred and fired away. 2 BLM's died from hate, but the 2nd BP from SMN came in at a good time, right when a last -ga came in and finished the last cats.

This isent an hard BC, but always be prepared.
Take a dry run and check em out. Thats always a good idea, specially with CoP missions lol.

Ya, this sounds fine. My static had a lil trouble with this because everyone needs to be on the ball with their timings (Sleepga, AF x2/3, etc.).

But, don't use AM. It takes way too long for the damage dealed. Stick with tier II/III.

Preferably, this all will be done within a few minutes. The 2nd AF is a godsend^^

Used the original strat but ignored Pets as suggested.

and didnt Sleepga RDM and BLM used Sleep II on Mithra and sleep on pets
