Help!

I never really found it to be that bad...maybe I just went through it fast...
 
Aye, this is my first spot that I'm actually "stuck" in. I only did a quick run-through because it was late, collected bunch of those black orbs but I'm on the first level with no idea where to put em. Any help? I tried that door which seems the obvious place to go in the north but just get a screen saying "this door is shut" or some nonsense. The Brady Guide is no help here, it says "explore south then head north and through the door" but of course I cant get in!! argh..

you put one in each of the three(?) altars which surround the water.
 
Thanks! I got to the top of the steps last night (I think I'm at the top >.>) in liiiike 2 hours lol. That was fun! It reminded me of the Golmore Jungle (my favorite spot in FFXII so far) with a twist.
 
Just wait until you get to go into Pharos Subterra for hunts.......

now THAT took forever to get to the end of
