I was up late tonight, and was seeking Southern Sandy when i got a random /tell from a person that asked if i would join a party. Level 13 blm with no sub usually gets a quick no (I was a 27 sam atm.), but I decided what the hell I took up his offer. I decided to head out to La Theine Plateau to the pond to see how well we would do. Ended up picking a third (Pup), so we were trioing around the pond, for a while and ended getting some pretty good exp, and ended up having some of the most fun I have had in exping low level in a while. It was just nice going around killing things not worrying about anything that can kill except the ele that wonders around from time to time. Also, ended up making a new friend and helped a newb have some serious fun while playing the game.

Awesome mate. :) I know of a lot of newer players that I have partied with in the dunes, and a lot of them are excellent people in general.

Dunes parties, though sometimes (see: Alot of times) crappy, usually have the nicest people. The higher level you get, the more business-like it becomes. I've probably had more friendly conversation in the Dunes than in any other leveling areas combined. It usually makes the time go faster as well, which never hurts.

Good job :)

True that. I try to go out of my way and help out the (hate saying the word noob...) people who are just getting started. I had a good experience a month or so ago giving some dude the run-down on fishing. He was catching moat carp anyway, so I paid him AH prices for every stack he pulled in as I'm working on that quest at the moment. He made money, I got some good conversation, and it made that boring ass quest a little better. Win-win.

This game isn't about being a badass. That's what real life is for, IMO. It's sweet to be 1337 when you can, but it's nothing to be a prick about.

I loved it when I was a newbie at the game. It was so much fun, I actually kinda miss it. Props to you for taking the invite rather than shutting it down, maybe you'll become a mentor.

Yah helpin out newbs (theres a difference) is always a good feeling. I for one like teaching them where and how to farm so that they can become self-reliant when the gear starts getting pricey.
