Guess I'd better give my side...

To elaborate,

I'm in a PT in the dunes and we're doing fine, everything is going good till I see (in say), "Change that macro!" from Kyozabi.

and I'm like,

What Macro?

So I ask and he's like "Ray Charles is dead that's not cool!"

Okay, my Blind macro says "How ya like that, Ray Charles?!"
I made it when I first started Selphieroth, before Ray Charles died.

And since there wasn't a "please" anywhere in Kyozabi's statement, I told him no, and that he could watch me not care.

He said something about it in shout, to which I replied "Then I guess you really would hate my Christopher Reeves Paralyze macro."

He told me I could expect to read all about it here, and I was scared (not really.) I blisted him and moved on with my life.

Anyhow, that's what happened, from my POV. I just figured I'd beat him to the post here. ^_^

Even if you made that macro before he died, you still disrespected the guy by not changing it when you found out. Asshole.
 
I posted not an hour after it happened, and only because you threatened (in /shout no less!) to do the same. "You guys! Knock it off or I'm gonna tell on you!"

Even if I did disrespect him (and I don't think I did,) what does it matter to you?

Are you Ray Charles? Are you related to him? Were you his personal friend?

No?

Then leave me alone.

I mean, if making fun of dead people is wrong, a whole lot of humor needs to be rethought. Everyone portrayed in any comedy set in a historical time period (Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Monty Python and the Life of Brian come to mind) is dead, so those are horrible tasteless movies!

I find it annoying when anyone says something stupid with a casting macro. It just makes for more useless battle spam. Like there isn't enough crap to read during a fight, listening to someone’s lame attempt at a joke every time they cast poison or whatever gets annoying.

Not that I am bitching at you it is just more of a general pet peeve that I have.
 
I aggree. I changed all my cheesy macros to normal, mute ones now, since others annoying ones annoy me. especially ones done in /say rather than /tell <me> -_-

QCDN does allow edit on all forums except the flameboard. The rationale is that I don't want to you say something nasty, and then go in later and edit it all out. What's said on the flameboard is said, and can't be taken back.
 
Will relay whatever message to only yourself, usually best after a /wait text line... for example:

/ja "Boost" <me>
/wait 15
/echo Boost Ready!

Pretty much makes it so your stuff doesn't spam party chat, and can make you look like a pro by using your job abilities every time they come up. But, sometimes they can lag by a few seconds.
 
Good call changing the macro to Stevie wonder. I was about to post that suggestion.
Heh, it ISNT cool, but it isn't the worst thing you could say either. That PARALYZE one is mean (but funny).
In any case, it beats the shit outta "U R BLIIND NOW MUTHERF##ER" or some such nonsense
