The PS3 needs like an option to mark all messages as read. I don't wanna have to wade through 100 party invites I never clicked on cause shit like I don't even own the game they're playing or I was passed out when they were sent. I want to only see invites that are new enough to still work which for some games is like 20 seconds. With email I know I should probably save in case I need to search my email for it, ever. (The online receipt for that frisbee you threw away 20 years ago.) I don't want to have to read it, but I demand having that feature that tells me if I have new mail or not.

Or perhaps a Party Invite folder for the PS3 message system would be another good idea?

That reminds me, I gotta sort out my messages soonish.

does it even tell you when someone wants to be your friend or anything? I added a couple of people from here but that's after we both said to each other that we were gonna do it..otherwise when a friend from school added me I didn't even notice that she had sent the invitation and about a week later she was like so you're not adding me on PSN or I got your name wrong lol.

I agree!

Everything just dumps into the inbox together. It doesn't even give you an option to sort the new messages to the top. This is normally not a problem because I won't get PSN messages that often, but if I'm logged on I get party invites to Uncharted 2 and PSN messages about UC2 all the time and I could just have the PS3 on cause I'm downloading something or cause I forgot to turn it off or I was stoned and after I turned it on I looked at my wall for an hour.

So sorting unread to the top or being able to mass - select them as read would save me a little trouble.

Letting it have a tree to sort invites, friend requests and ordinary messages, mass deletion, setting to opened, and sorting unread to top would make it more managable.
