Have any of you bought somthing just to have it like a weapon to play with or armor cauz it looks cool. case in point i bought a glourious GS cauz it was different from the other GSs or killed an NM that drops a rar/ex weapon I have 2 tropheies so far one is Nadrs and the other is Webcutter *which i may use when i decieded to lvl bst* and Hopfully i will have Arondight soon... anywho these arent for pts but more or less for yourself i plan to buy a full set or Dark Steel Armor just to goof with

Yeah, I remember a while back when I was a 45 or so DRK, I bouth a GS (can't remember the name right now) because it was one of the only newer GS's at that level with the wavy kind of blade. I still have it to this day, lol.

Ummmm nope, not me. I'm a poor whm. Don't have the gil to piss away. Especially right now while I'm leveling Ninja. Hot Damn that's an expensive job to level!!!!

Items I have just for the look.

Triple Dagger.
Green Ribbon.
Gambison.
Feathered Hat.

One word:
RDM AF HAT!
omg, is there anything coller than that damn feather??
Thats one of the reasons im rdm. lvl 55, just 5 morreeeeeeeeeee.

Frog Trsousers. BEST WHM ARMOR EVAR.

Really though...I haven't bought anything for looks, yet....made myself a Red Cap/Socks/Hose/Fisherman's Tunica... XD
So I guess I can just make anything I like rather than buy =x but, no, I haven't ever bought something for looks..

i always carry 2 sets of armor/weapon with me.

one for fighting in
one for looking good in

/blush

i just hate walking around in mis-matched equipment, and sometimes a complete armor set will span across many levels.

Royal Knight's Armet (hands) is level 50, but the body is level 55, so at level 53 i carry the hands to fight in, but wear a complete Iron Mustekeer's armor set while walking around.

I usually carry about 3 extra pieces of equipment.

I had Fungus Hat for a while, along with a Gandalf type staff for the whole mage effect, but then I realized I was broke and sold the hat. =( I miss my big pointy hat....

I bough tthe entire Noct +1 set cause it looked cool. Then I got my Bastok Pride going and gots ma Atekon. Also blew a good sum of money on clothcraft so I can have a pair of glasses, currently working on my Shades.

Kingdom Aketon and Signet Staff.

I'm not rank 10 yet so I had to buy them 200k for the aketon and 40k for the staff if I remember right. I do actually get some use from the aketon though, level 1 to like 7 anyjob and it helps with crystals, so I make a little. The staff helped me level my staff skill, so I guess there is a little benefit there also.

edited for typo.

I used to carry an in-town armor set but now I'm pretty happy with how my normal equipment looks, and I also have that blm scythe. I did buy an aketon because I thought it'd be cool, but the novelty wore off after 2hrs so I sold it =P

Many times I've tried to convince myself that a certain weapon or piece of armor was worth buying purely on looks. So far I think I've been able to hold back. I once wanted to snag a legionnaire scythe for my war just for the look. Also wanted a bunch of daggers with effects like sleep and weaken etc.

For the most part I'm glad I didn't. Like Kat said, I too am poor.. I'm saving up for the rest of the RSE armor I need. I'm using full noct except for the body which is RSE and the head which is a sandy bandana. I wanted to keep using my Parrying Knife because it looks so damn cool but I ended up getting a mrc. cpt. Kukri instead because the stats were too good to pass up.

My biggest fasion problem is with shields as a THF. I think they look goofy and out of place on a job thats suppose to be quiet, sneaky, and stealthy pickpocket-like, ya know? However if someone could tell me if the Frost Shield that THF gets at 28(I think) looks like the picture in the stat box I would probably buy that!

I'm sure you already know this, but you can quest your RSE. If you are having trouble tripping the quest (getting the goblin to talk to you) that means you need more fame.
