Here's them augments for ASA

Capping accuracy > 2% chance to DA. Don't waste a slot on the DA if you're serious about the stats for new pants to TP in, and don't let what people say about Drg being the most accurate job in the game get to your head. What we have in job traits, we lack in easily attainable AH gear other jobs have access to. We need accuracy just as much as any other DD job. Don't let the class stigma fool you.

I'm going to build dragoon legs with Haste/Acc on them. I figure they can double as casting pants for my paladin, too, since I don't have homam. I use my paladin a /lot/ in campaign, and since I'm normally running around in my IR legs, those'll be a big upgrade for things when I'm not tank-tanking.

My only hope? Those are actually long greaves like they look and will cover up the fugly that is Aurum boots.

I've been a DRG almost as long as you lol. I know all that. I tend to use Pizza a lot though for just about anything where accuracy might be a concern.

IF i was gonna do it and IF the movement speed stacked with trotters id go eva+7 and speed up 8% for pullin in dynamis

Won't stack with trotters, but it would stack with Skadi boots.

Well, there's no beating Evoker's Spats for SMN most likely...

What do you mean? Without the new pants, Marduk/Oracle pants is better for blood pacts since evoker does not stack with AF2 hands which are crazy good. If you do ACC+Attack or something on these pants its still better then evoker for bloodpacts.

If your talking to leave avatar out, its really just preferance. If you have nash hands, then evokers are nice but so would keep mp high from marduk and would be pretty close to the dragon pants with attack+acc.

Sorry, wasn't my intention for my post to have such a condescending tone to it. Text lacks emotion. :/

I am not convinced about the pet attack.
Before the redingote I had 5/5 in Avatar physical attack merited, which I changed to Magical attack a while ago and honestly I notice 0 difference.
On exp-mobs, easy prey mobs, too weak farming mobs or even HNMs there's zilch, nada, nothing.
Also talking to other Summoners that Augmented their Redingote with Physical attack they didn't notice huge differences either.
And I am not just talking about Predator claws and Spinning dive.

Also speaking about accuracy, the accuracy given by the Evoker's spats (+1) is still unknown.
It might be worse, but at the same time it could be tons better then +7, we do not know and if you do please pass the sauce.
And Herder's Subligar is assumed to have +10 pet accuracy blowing the augment away anyway.

Marduk's Shalwar gives +3% MP, which on an avarage Summoner would result in 30~35 MP.
Which is a nice 20 MP more then Evoker's Spats (and 13 more then the +1) but doesn't give more then two maybe three ticks ticks extra uptime, four if you have a good perpetuation set.
Which is between 6 and 12 seconds extra uptime, whooptiedoo!
(This not accounting the Avatar's favor reduction yet, but still.)
For that reasoning you could just as wel equip *barfs* Zenith gear.
I'll take that extra avatar melee accuracy from my Evoker's Spats +1, thanks!

Honestly, aside from the Elemental Siphon +20 the Pet augments on these pants are not better then the gear summoner already has.
You're better off picking something for one of your other jobs.
At least in my opinion.

Well as far as im concerned, because im cheap about BLM gear if I can get away with it... I will be getting the Tatsumaki Sitagoromo(Dragon Pants) for BLM with +4 Magic Att Bonus and +4 Magic Accuracy. They -should- replace my current +8 INT Pants with the loss of -Enimity and MP. I think as far as DMG though these new pants will outdo the old by a slight margin but I could just be insane and not know what im talking about. I would assume +8 INT does a little less dmg than +4 Mab and +4 Magic acc bonus and 2 INT from the pants already.

Someone please correct me if my thinking is wrong as far as the ffxi calculations go...im much more of a melee with the calculator than a mage.

You could start einerjar for shadow trews to get the mag+4 magic acc+4 stats so that's a consideration if you do any Einerjar.

4MAB and 2 INT will do a little more dmg than 8 INT pants when nuking unresisted ^^.

4MAB and 4 MAcc is the right way to go if you want a little higher nukes.

Well yeah, Pet Attack+ is not very noticable in general. Except maybe PUP. But my point is that AF1(+1) pants and AF2 hands do not stack so it IS better to use the dragon pants/marduk pants/oracle pants for Blood Pacts. I personally thought Evoker spats was +10 which is obviously more then the Dragon pants.

When it comes to having your avatar out, again, when it comes to pants choice I said its all personal opinion. There is no better if you rather have more mp thats your choice if you rather the ACC sure. (If you have nash hands) If you don't have nash hands then you should be using AF2 hands and not AF1+1 pants. Some people even prefer AF2 pants for the delay in there Blood pacts even if they have AF1(+1) Pants. But yes I still agree thats there is nothing much smn can pick for these pants BUT if you have AF2 hands these pants match very well with it for blood pact.

Evoker's Spats give +14 avatar accuracy, with extensive testing done by kegsay from Alla to back that number up. Also, that same guy tested whether the bonuses from Evoker's Spats and Summoner's Bracers stack, and THEY DO STACK, so again, it'll be REALLY hard for a pair of Dragon pants to beat Evoker's Spats... like I said in the first place. :3

Here's the proof.

Maybe I'll do Siphon+20 and Pet M.Acc+7 (since I'm still planning on making my ACP Body an M.Acc+MAB piece) for merit BPs.

Well, fark.

Homam is still better for my PLD (with macro'd I.R. for JAs) but I guess this will replace Homam on my DRG for TP build (Haste +3%, Accuracy +7). That sucks because they're ugly as sin and are going to go horribly with Homam feet and Ares body :(

I was honestly hoping for a spell macro piece or a WS macro piece.

Cure Potency +5% is unique for legs, maybe consider that instead of a Homam replacement?

I am so torn... I need the Homan replacement badly for my DRG but I could go Cure pot + MAB or Macc for WHM RDM SCH. Why SE... why must you do this to me. At least they gave me options I really love this time. I still don't have the hat cause it never really inspired me. These legs however do.

Doesn't look like you can bend your knees in them very easily >_>.
that's exactly what i was thinking.

who the hell do they get to design these things? functionality is for nothing, evidently lol.

tassets, those are not.

If i get the vanadel collection i"m going with The i wish i was a homam boost until i get 4 acc elsewhere(5 more acc on thf would cap my final bit of acc needed for my thf vs any non thf/nin mammool and there's always feint) or the movement speed option for other mage or pld.
For my brd mule I'd grab movement seed and dmg reduction.

Luckily with my job spread the only consideration was whether to make cure potency pants for WHM, or MAB for BLM, so I decided to go with MAB/Movement speed.... my BLM will likely never be used for HNMs or anything that would demand the extra INT from Mahatma, so if it's just a pudding-grindan job then movement speed benefits more, plus I can use them on my RDM for kiting RvB!

Was tempted to make RNG pants (since I made both the ACP body and Moogle head for RNG) but I have Skadi pants.

Was told for years that they don't stack, but yeah.

I think its in the wording. Accuracy stacks with itself, but Accuracy Bonus the trait does not. The garuda headband, for example, is Attack Bonus and Defense Bonus, not Enhances Attack and Defense. As far as I would imagine, anything that enhances an effect stacks with other enhancements, but named Bonuses are redundant.

See also every piece of "Enhances Snapshot."
