Heroes Season 2 (Possible Spoilers)

I really don't think Maya's power has any connection to the virus. Not only does it affect anyone (not just those with powers) in proximity (excepting Alejandro?), but it's not really contagious, it's her power. Perhaps Alejandro will lead to the cure due to his ability, but I doubt they'd put in another "kill the helpless female to save all the people with powers" in.

What I think will happen is that, although we haven't seen it yet, Alejandro gets a little worse every time. Just as they get to New York, he'll die from it, and everyone is left to figure out how to stop Maya.

Remember, the Haitian was infected with the hero-killer virus, and it was nothing at all like what happens with Maya unleashes her power.
Well, they did say the virus can evolve to affect everyone. Besides, the hero-killer virus works slower. Hers work in second, hence why I said it was "concentrated".

Although, it DOES kind of look like the virus that killed Hanna Gitterman

I personally don't see how it looks like the virus that killed Hana. I think the thing was that it was a computer virus that the satellite shot back at her in self defense. I'm not sure if Maya's powers are related or not to the shanti virus. Anyone else have this feeling that Alejandro is going to get killed sooner or later? It just seems to me that his character isn't written like the main ones. I keep picking at Tristam saying Sylar is going to kill Alejandro and make Maya stay around him. Maybe he thinks she's so sweet and pretty and that's why he gave her his real name. I'm probably reading too much into that. It just seems to me that Sylar would think that a woman who could kill multiple people at the same time was hot. XD

Also, lol at the comic from yesterday.

Well supposedly he can talk to computers. The brain really is a computer. So in essence he should be able to communicate with animals if he can talk to the animals computer. It could very well be me reading too much into it. The whole zooming into his hand though says there is definately something more to his abilities then they originally explained.

Matt's dad's abilities must be pretty fricking bad too. I mean he basically has Molly stuck in her own mind.

Building on this:

I'll bet that Micah can read electrical impulses, rather than the catch-all "can talk to devices."

Brain waves, Heart beats, and the entire nervous system are built on electrical impulse, and that's kinda what I got the feeling he was reading when he touched his cousin's back. If he could pick up on just brain activity, he would likely have either had to touch her head or her brain itself (noting how he had to touch the insides of the television in order to get PPV).

Just a thought :)

I started thinking last night I think Alejandro is the reason Sylar started to get his powers back. It was right after Maya had almost killed him and Alejandro cured it that all of a sudden Sylar started hearing the ticking and being able to see how things work.

Thats a good point sounds more plausible Tristam.

I always had the feeling Alejandro definately had the type of part that could just get killed off. It would definately make the story interesting with Maya alway s being upset when he isn't around.

You guys were right about the ticking, I forgot it had been done. I found it cool because Sylar looked straight in the camera when it played. lol The Alejandro being the cause for Gabriel's power working again is theory is right on. Maybe he can SELF REPAIR all his powers now that he know how things work again. ^^

After reading the 9th wonders about Maya and Alejandro I definately believe Maya's ability is some disease maybe not the Shanti virus but it is definately a disease. The 9th wonders goes into Chandra Suresh book and says the 5th chapter is about someone with the ability to carry some virus. This is all being talked about in the background leading up to why Maya and Alejandro are wanted for murder.

I don't know about all his powers. Maybe he lost them. We know that the powers are in the brain, some sort of chemical or something. Though, Sylar could've been clinically brain dead during surgery... he may have lost those chemicals or whatever he gets from the dead people. His power, intuitive aptitude, could've kicked in as a self defense against Maya's death ability. While it certainly wouldn't have saved him, his brain was already analyzing and formulating an idea on how they work.

So, he could just have his intuitive aptitude back... which means he'll have to 'regain' new powers. I see Claire's mom being one of his first victims. KEKEEKEKE. >_>;

It's a nice move on the writers part not to let Sylar get too powerful. Plus, Sylar seems to be one of the main ways to die in the Heroes Universe. Unless your D.L., then you die just 'cuz you're a shitty actor.

Just like Peter losing his memory was a good way not to let him get too powerful. Even Peter with all those powers could be corrupted by the the raw power of having too many abilities. I think Molly will have to die by the end of this season. Her ability is just too powerful for the wrong person to get there hands on whether it be Sylar, Peter, or the company or anyone else for that matter.

The ticking was present when Sylar killed Candace as well. So his power was there, just kinda inoperative.

Maybe Alejandro did heal him fully (unsure).

Perhaps:

Maya falls in love(brainwashed?) with Sylar.
Sylar kills Alejandro and steals HIS power.
Sylar uses Maya to wreak havoc...

I don't think that with this new villain that Sylar will continue to be the bad guy. I'm willing to bet that he helps stop Matt's father. He'll become the antihero!

I still shat a brick when Sylar realised that they had powers.

I thought, "Noo, just as I'm getting to know and like Maya and Allendro, he's just gonna kill them too!". I don't think he's going to be a complete goody in this series, as demonstrated by killing the other car pooler, and from ratting them out beforehand too!

Roll on next weeks episode!

I think Sylar will be a good guy sort of this season. He will help defeat the boogeyman. Sylar wants to be the ultimate evolved human. He wants to be the top dog so taking this guy out will help further himself in this way. He won't help defeat him for any reason other then help himself.

Sylar makes it a little hard to guess what he wants to do at times. Sometimes he says that he wants to special then we found out during the visit with his mom that he wanted to be normal but his mom kept telling him that he could be so much more. Maybe that's partially why he wished that someone would come and tell him that his family wasn't his and take him away. During How to Stop An Exploding Man, he kept telling Peter that he was the bad guy and declared himself the good guy. Also, he told Maya that he knew what it feeled like to be blamed for things that you didn't mean to do. I think that he blames Dr. Chandra Suresh for him being the way that he is since he said so on that tape. He's one of those villians that wants to do good and thinks that they are when they are hurting others. Reminds me how Magneto wants to help mutant kind but does it in destructive ways.

Now I'm not sure how he would think that killing other evolved humans is helping other than helping himself. I do think that there is a good core to him but his mommy issues drive him to want to be special. Maybe Maya will bring that out slightly or he may end up corrupting her. I really don't think Alejandro's going to make it. Anyone else notice that when they show them in the car that Sylar is always right by Maya? Sylar se quiero Maya. Sorry bad Spanish skills. lol

Also, what is up with Nathan's face? Keeps freaking me out. I can't wait for them to explain why he keeps seeing that vision in the mirror (man they love showing stuff in mirrors) and for them to show the powers and identities of the older generation. It's probably going to be spread out though. Someone at the Heroes wiki actually made a composite picture of it. http://heroeswiki.com/Image:Heroes_12.jpg Pretty interesting. If I am correct, the two that we know that have displayed their powers are Mr. Linderman (healing) and Bob (alchemy?). I think that Mr. Parkman might have some sort of powerful telepathy since he seemed to be able to trap Molly in her own mind.

Poor Molly her family gets owned by Sylar then she gets Shanti virus, gets cured by Mohinder, almost gets killed by Mr. Bennet, moves in with Matt and Mohinder, and then gets trapped in her head while trying to help. Anyone else just feel sorry for some of these heroes (Niki, Matt, Ted, etc)?

Midas Touch ftw >.>

In other news, I love you sweetie :)

Sylar's mom did have the ability to stop him from becoming worse and worse but she had to tell him to be special. He is kind of torn between wanting to be normal for himself and wanting to be special for his mom. I also think the corruption of the powers he had and maybe still has access to is feeding into his wanting to become the ultimate evolved person.

I agree Alejandro does seem the more likely candidate for dying. They definately gave Maya more of a part to keep around.

I just want to know if Nathan's face actually looked like that or is he just delusional.

I would say Mr. Parkman has more then just telepathy. He is definately the one who has something to do with the older generation dying. He may not have been the one who pushed Kaito off but he had something to do with it. He also had something to do with Mama Petreli being attacked. I am sure telepathy has some sort of role is his abilities which would explain the roaches if he can talk to insects as well.

I would definately say Bob has alchemy and not just the midas touch. I think midas touch is just too simple for the show.

Aren't they effectively the same thing? I forget what he touched/turned to gold when he demonstrated his power, but you're probably right.

Midas Touch would turn anything to gold, whereas Alchemy would only do the normal 'alchemic' items (lead, metallic things). If I remember correctly, wasn't it a wine glass he turned to gold? Could it have been made of "lead crystal"?
