TV Heroes Season 3!

Okay.. Now you guys are getting so technical it's silly. Lets take a step back for a second to realize this is a show about people with super powers. Yeah there are some plot holes, but then there have been plot holes throughout all 3 seasons.

The main thing that pisses me off right now is what they're doing to Sylar/Gabriel, and a lot of others feel the same way.

I'm not so worked up over the eclipse, it was relatively minor in the things that don't quite add up. But they did use it to give us a little more insight into some of the characters so it wasn't all bad.

I know :x But it's just that...even the Nickelodeon show Avatar was more accurate about eclipses than Heroes, lol.

On other notes...
Sylar used to be my favorite character, yet in this episode I was hoping that he'd actually be dead when it looked as if he died. And Claire, too--it's as if no one dies in this show (except for Adam Monroe ;~;)!!! Let's see Elle not die >.> (Ugh, can't stand her)

D.L died, Linderman died, Niki died(even if they kept Ali Larter on as her twin", Maya's brother died, Monroe died, Kaito died, Maury died, Candice died, Eden died, Elle probably died etc etc

True as it may be but most comic books have less plot holes than this season. Heroes was based on the comic book style. It's not asking too much to not have to turn your brain off just to watch the show. They don't have to explain every single detail but some things really stand out. Granted there have been plot holes during the entire existence of Heroes, but they keep creating more and more of them without really seeming to try to correct them. The relationship between Elle and Sylar was one of the weirdest ones to me. I like both of the characters but out of all the people to pair up, those two really didn't make sense. Yeah the scene with him absorbing her power and helping her to let go was good but I don't see someone jumping into bed with someone that quickly after they killed their father. I'm hoping that by the end of Villians they bring it to a nice conculsion maybe a nice cliffhanger for the next volume. They do have a great team working on the show and they really could bring it back to good. Even Tim Kring himself admits something is wrong and that he is going to try to correct it.

EDIT: Did anyone else think that it was funny that Noah waited until after Sylar and Elle got it on to shoot at them?

This series is going to shit. I'm starting to get bored with it. The eclipse was asinine and like Burne already covered it makes literally no sense and destroys continuity even more than time travel has. This episode was horrible, and everything that was great about the first 3 or 4 episodes of this season is being crapped upon for no apparent reason. I'll watch it until the end just for the sake of curiosity, but my enthusiasm is gone. To be honest, my monday television interest is much more for Terminator now than Heroes. Tonight's TSCC was amazing.

TSCC used to be the opening act for Heroes. Now I almost vomit at how much better TSCC is than Heroes. I'm ready to turn the T.V. off after TSCC. Heroes is so disapointing.

Summary: Watch MOAR TSCC!

...Ooooh yeah, lol~!
But ya gotta admit that a ton of people should've died many times, but didn't :P

Well about Elle you have to remember, she is pretty f*cked up in the head due to how she was raised. She's not exactly mentally stable, she's very erratic and can be kind and sweet one moment then like.. total bitch mode the next. So.. yeah, I can sorta of see how she would hook up with Sylar on her end. On the other hand you have Sylar/Gabriel who first met her when she saved his life and he originally fell in love with her before he actually became Sylar so it's kind of natural that those feelings would still linger with him, plus he's not exactly mentally stable either. >_>;

But yeah, I did think it was kind of funny that Noah waited.. I guess he's a bit more voyeuristic than we knew. <_< And he had a nice scope to watch it through...

*chants* This is not an educational program, this is not an educational program...*

Really, Heroes isn't a scientifical educational program about solar eclipses and bioengineering.

This is almost getting as bad as the BG thread about heroes where people are getting annoyed at how unreal some of the powers are, and how it wouldn't work in reality... Really, while we're at it, why don't we talk about how unreal all shows are? Stargate had wormholes you travel through. That's so unreal! There's no wormholes on earth, and the science stuff they talk about is just jibberish!

And man can't fly without technology in real life! How can they fly in heroes?!

Of course there's plot holes in a TV show. What do you expect? There's plot holes in every movie and TV show. That's part of why it is a TV show... And while we're at it, people in movies and TV shows are supposed to act how you normally wouldn't act. That "WTF didn't he do like that?!" is a feeling you're SUPPOSED to be feeling. If everyone in a movie and a TV show acted rationally all the time, it would be EXTREMELY boring.

Really, can you tell me how fun Heroes would be if all of them always acted rational? Most movies would be extremely short and would basically be a movie watching someone sitting at the toilet throughout the whole movie if there were no plot holes at all and everyone always acted rational. You might as well watch a bad porno if you want a movie or show without any plot holes where everyone act the way you might expect them to. There's plenty of holes there, but not the plot ones.

Really, to me it looks like you're throwing out "OMG! Plot hole!" on every single thing that annoys you about the show.

The only reason they threw an eclipse in this season was because everyone kept asking exactly what part the eclipse plays in Heroes. Sure, they could have handled it better, like, say, having Hiro travel back in time to an eclipse or something, but really, it doesn't matter. If you're bugged about "OMG! How can there be two solar eclipses, in one year, and how can it be seen from everywhere on earth at once?!", then you really need to take a step back and realize this is a sci-fi show. As in, it isn't based on reality...

Edit: For all we know the Eclipse could be a giant fat man's super power. Look, no plot hole!

I have a few theories on Heroes.

Claire dying from the bullet could be that when her powers "turned on" she lost her normal person immune system and got her superpowered one. When that was gone she had no immune system so a open wound and a dirty bullet could lead to infection.

Slyar is 15 kinds of fucked. I'm enjoying Hiro's story line. Noah is a pervert. Nathan and Peter are okay, I guess. Arthur annoys me. I don't know why he didn't just take Hiro's Powers. Also, has anyone else noticed that his power is mind reading and such like Parkmen? Where'd he get the power to suck other peoples powers away.

I personally don't think that any of the powers are unbelievable. I know why they made the eclipse visible to all. I just don't like how they explained that it takes away their powers temporarily but it didn't do that before to Hiro in the past.

As for Elle, maybe she is that messed up to toy with Sylar like that. I'll concede to that.

The Niki/Jessica, Barbara(?), and Tracy storyline is a little off. First Jessica was Niki's twin. Then Tracy, Barbara, and Niki were triplets. All I know is that Nathan loves to hump all of them.

Viewers have been leaving the show and even the creator says that the show suffered due to the writer's strike. I'm not asking them to explain brain surgery. You can call me picky if you want but most good sci-fi shows and comic books don't have as many plot holes that are as obvious like the ones in Heroes lately. I know that the creative team can bring the show back to it's glory. The thing that I used to love about Heroes is that it made super powers believable. I'm sure that it's hard for writers to keep a successful show going at the same pace that made everyone fall in love with it. Personally the problems that the show is facing right now is not enough to stop me from watching the show. I will cheer them on and continue to read the graphic novels. Hopefully by the end of the volume things start looking a little bit more thought out.

Being a sci fi show doesn't excuse poor writing. We shouldn't have to turn our brains off and suck it all in just because it's not based on something realistic.

You don't have to, but you don't have to question every thing in the show.

Anyway, reason I wrote that post is because apparently this thread isn't about discussing theories etc. anymore.

Well.. that summed up any questions as to whether or not Elle was dead.

Fucking writers.

How..on earth, were they able to right so many wrongs in one episode?

I don't know.. but, I'm .. well my feelings are confused on this episode.. I mean, it wasn't bad... but.. still something.. I dunno.

I liked this episode waaay more than the past few~
The part with Hiro and his mom made me tear up ;~;

I'm curious though, the Arthur that took the catalyst and power from Hiro--was that present-day Arthur or past-Arthur? Because if it was present day Arthur, how did he go back in time, am I missing something? And I don't think that could be past-Arthur, anyways...so yeah, how did he get back there?

That was present-day Arthur, probably saw where Hiro went by painting it or something. He was searching for the catalyst only in the present, after all. He didn't have it before either.

Even though the catalyst is gone from the picture now, there's still a bit of formula out there. I wonder if Peter will ever get his powers back... (and Hiro now too)

They seemed to be writing up a lot of story, and then basically erasing it all in like 2 minutes a few times this season. They build up Sylar to be good for 11 episodes, then he turns evil in like 2 minutes. Hiro goes through all this crap to get his mind back, goes through a lot of emotion to become to catalyst only to have it taken away like 2 minutes later.

I think this episode is damage control. They're reassessing everyone and trying to get back to the status quo.
