TV Heroes Season 3!

anyone else think sylar is just playing along with arthur? I think arthur was lying when he told him what angela did when he was younger, and I think sylar knows this because of the ability angela "fed" to him. whether or not arthur realizes this i'm not sure.

Oh, I definitely believe Sylar is just playing along too. Why else would Peter still be alive? Sylar obviously used his powers to lessen Peters fall while still making it look like he tossed him out of the window on purpose to try and kill him.

I like your theory on the use of that seemingly useless ability he gained, it does make perfect sense though if you think about it. I doubt that Arthur knows that Sylar has that power, since all Arthur knows is that Sylar's powers are dangerous yet that one power isn't dangerous at all.

I don't think he actually took Peter's powers. I think he took the powers Peter have gathered.

Sometime this season we're going to learn what's special about the telekinesis power that Sylar got from the first guy, and why that (and sylar's original ability) are the only ones that Peter could absorb from Sylar.

I thinking his ability is that it simply absorbs its power in a way and "disables" it, thus requiring said person to reactivate in a way. What I mean is that the power reverts back to how it was before it activated within a person. As Suresh discovered, its the, if I remember right, adrenaline that gives people their powers. The Shanti virus blocks this, and I'm thinking his power is similar, in that it drains the special part of the adrenaline that holds the power, thus giving him their power, and disabling it in the other person.

Anyway, my guess is that Peter will discover he still have the telekinesis part of the power, and struggle to awaken his own power again, and once again retrieve powers, similar to what Sylar did in season 2.

Arthur probably had a shitload of powers, but he lost them all for some reason, and that is probably part of the reason he lost them.

So I was watching Charmed* the other day and Sylar was totally the demon in that episode. It was awesome.

*Don't judge me, that show is full of cleavage.

Los Angeles Times said:
Fallen 'Heroes': Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander are fired
06:48 AM PT, Nov 3 2008

Heroes_4The last time I saw Jeph Loeb was when I moderated a panel he was on at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books in April. I remember I asked about his show, "Heroes," being faced with "a crossroads" moment in both its loss of audience and urgency, and he scowled at the mere mention of such a notion. So why am I thinking of that on this November morning?

Here's the scoop from Cynthia Littleton of Variety:

Big shakeup on the staff of NBC's "Heroes" came down on Sunday with the axing of co-exec producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb.

Both scribe-producers had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/exec producer Tim Kring.

"Heroes," produced by Universal Media Studios, has struggled in the ratings its third season.

It's understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of Peacock execs' frustration with the creative direction of the show. The show is also said to have been grappling with hefty budget overruns this season that are going well beyond its already sizable $4 million per-seg pricetag.

Reps for NBC and UMS declined comment.

The show that was once NBC's strongest scripted series really lost its way, and a lot of casual fans just threw their hands up in the air and reached for the remote. This feels like the beginning of the end. Why did it happen? I thought Matt Roush of TV Guide had a good point last week when he expressed his "Heroes" fatigue: "The reality of the situation is that there aren't a lot of people, even critics, who want to work that hard at watching a show like this. I take notes as I watch many shows, but I don't expect anyone else to. 'Heroes' has become needlessly overstuffed, which isn't the same as complex."

Anyone hear about this?

Hopefully it won't go off the air. only watch 2 tv shows now, Heroes and House.

And I only watch one TV show.. If they really decide to can this show it will be a huge disappointment to everyone who does watch the show. I certainly wasn't under the impression that the ratings were somehow significantly down. Seriously, if you've stuck with the show past the second season, how can you not want to watch this show and it's development. I just don't get execs sometimes.

compared to the first season, they're down close to 6 million viewers

; ; Another great episode. Poor Hiro ; ; God dammit, I hope Ando does something fast.

Holy shit is all I have to say. Completely unexpected.

This episode renewed my hope for this season >.>
Explained alot of things that I wanted explained, lol~

Bloody hell, though!
What I think may happen to Hiro better not happen >.>

Ooh, ooh, would if he's still in his dream state and is just foreseeing that? '-';
Preventive measures--ACTIVATE!
mwahahaha.

Am I watching a different show? Last night's episode was awful. I bet you last night's episode was what got those two writers fired.

Spoiler:
All it did last night was string together things we had already seen, and made revelations we had mostly already figured out. Everything else was just excess crap that will never come back into play.

Why has Sylar had this awesome blow shit up power all this time and never used it? They should have made Capt Emo's power one of Sylar's regular powers, since he was only the second brain Sylar had inspected.

Really weak last night. I'm only sticking around to see Ando's powers awaken so he can save Hiro next week.

I liked how it explained some of the character connections. Yeah they blatantly used some old scenes over but it was a nice blending. Granted most of the stuff was things that could be figured out by ourselves but a lot of people have been complaining that the season was hard to follow. Personally I've liked this whole season and prefer it to the second season.

It still surprises me that they fired Jeph Loeb since he is an award winning comic writer. Some of his Batman work was used to inspire the Batman Begins movie. I'm guessing that his style of writing wasn't translating well into the series or they might have wanted someone they could pay less.

Yeah I've loved this whole season even though some things really irked me at the beginning.

And I don't think they reused old scenes. Those old scenes never included Arthur in them, but seeing them again with Arthur in them makes sense and sheds light on a lot of the past happenings within the Heroes universe. I loved it.

I am kind of hoping Ando saves Hiro with his awakened power.. but.. stiill, I kind of think it might not happen. Even so, I'd love for Ando to just grab anything and throw it at Arthur. Anything to keep Hiro from possibly dying. ; ;

I'm pretty sure all Arthur is doing to Hiro is taking his powers, not killing him. Without his power to teleport he is no threat to Arthur trapped in a desert in the middle of nowhere, he has no way to warn anyone as he planned on doing.

I think there must be some sort of hitch to Arthur's powers. there has to be. Angela isn't stupid, and she said Peter is the most powerful of them all. If Arthur can just go and take any powers from anyone, rendering them normal on top of gaining them himself, he'd be obviously more powerful than Pete. Sure he has to touch them, but he doesn't have to unlock their power either from what I've seen.

It's true that all the scenes with Arthur were new but there were a few that were reused. In Beeman's blog it talks about how they reused scenes from the pilot. They just did a great job of blending it in so it wasn't too noticeable.
Spoiler:
Not sure if it counts as a spoiler but using the tags just in case.

The scene where Nathan and his wife were being perused by Linderman's men and the vehicle crashes while Nathan flies out was old. The scenes in the hospital were new so they could have Arthur there. Another old scene was when Claire walks into the fiery train wreck. A partially new scene was the one where Meredith and Thompson were on the bridge overlooking the wreckage as Claire approached. They used a blue screen to insert the background so they wouldn't have to recreate the scene. You can also tell because Claire looks younger back then even though it was only 2 years ago. I don't remember if there were any other old scenes used.

I still have my theory that Arthur don't actually remove the power in his victim. I'm thinking he renders them inactive, and they need to awaken them again. Which is what I'm thinking Peter will do with his power. Leading to yet another power-hunt.

Every season they think of one reason or another to make Peter weak again. I'm surprised they haven't done that to Sylar this season.
